"Ehehe, I thought you liked to play with fire, silly face?" A sweet giggle parted Mao's lips, eyes brightening just a little bit more underneath the ivory fringe. "Now now, bitch is a mean word to pass between females! Only men deserve that term, right? Ehe~" Pleased to see her simple attacks inflicted some damage to the book, a moment was taken to enjoy the full effects of the battle so far; sure, expending her magic so frequently was tiring, but the rewards of an amusing battle were consolation enough. It appeared the little witch in front of Mao wasn't too terribly weak, and as the darker red symbol in the ceiling took form, Mao was finally in true pleasure. Dark Magics! This little witch was more interesting than she thought, when her temper flared. Seeing as the attack was aimed from the ceiling, it was instinctive to draw up magics of her own for protection. And so, as quickly as possible, the fingertips drew forth new symbols within the sky, hands lifting into the air and rotating in semi circles as the symbols were cast in clear silver form. As if a ring of wind had entered the room above and around her form, the meteor-like rocks were sucked into the swirling wind, diffusing the flames, and reforming into a narrow shoot, aimed to send the rocks straight back at the mage who had cast them. Unfortunately, some of the rocks were naturally knocked off course, tumbling across the room; a small chip flying down across her shoulder. Crimson drops sprung forth quickly, and though there was underlying pain, an amused giggle once more flitted from her lips. "Oh, oopsies! You made me get my shirt dirty, silly mage!"

It was hard to deny, even through the excitement and amusement, that Mao was also starting to tire just a bit; the battle would have to end soon, or she would probably earn a headache from this little event, which she didn't like the thought of; not one bit. Fortunately, the blood dripping slowly down her arm and onto her creamy hands proved to be useful; fresh life, live energy, right at her fingertips. This would help her pull off one more interesting, solid attack; hopefully this would be the last. With a quick glance around the room, her eyes darted to the cups and bottles of water adoring the councilmen's tables, 'Thank Gosh!'. It was much easier to bend the elements from a fresh source, rather than thin air, which would help to preserve her energy a bit longer for the second half of this ensuing attack. "Sorry boys, I'll be needing these, but I'll pay you back later~" And with a small smile, blue symbols were cast into the air around her, the water around the tables lifting, collecting, and sweeping across the room; the free weapons laying around the room were lifted by the water, almost as if small fairies were within the wave, armed and ready for attack. With this, a large grin spread across her lips, blood dripping from her fingertips as they drew the last of the symbols, and sent the water, stock full of sharp weapons, cascading all around the mage; the water meant to taint the pages of the book, and the weapons, meant to mame. "Ehe, is this checkmate?"

The young witch was beside herself with how to handle this anymore. every trick
she did this little monster had a counter for, she was tired worn out and all
around just dead. now her bigger attack from her staff had been so easily
stopped. her face was grim as she clenched her free hand into a fist and grasped
her staff in a mad fury throwing fire ball after fire ball at her with her
finger rotating there movements so that some came straight while others curved
in towards her in the weirdest of intervals. she was almost too late when the
water was upon her. waving the staff it glowed a green color and the ground
beneath them broke loose as thick tree roots came up as a sort of shield to
absorbed the water she was a bit late to move back as a few of the weapons
pierced her flesh blood streaming down it would not help her situation luckily
the plant wall had stopped them from completely hitting her, retaliating in a
final defense she waved her staff in an odd way attempting to send the think
vines like whips lashing down at the girl she shouted out with the last of her
physical energy " hows your dance skills little girl!?" just in time for her
vision to go black and her body to collapse to the floor in a huddle.

To hope for her attacks to work, and to see them live in action straight through her hazy violet eyes, heightened things to a whole new level for Mao; a tad gruesome as the blades pierced the mage's flesh, but that's what she got for being too cocky and spastic, she supposed. Mao knew the little witch was done for, and so she made mere games of the vines that were sent to lap at her body as a last resort. The whole battle had been played to a tune for her, and that melody was finally coming to a close, sadly. 'How's your dance skills, little girl?!' This sent Mao over the edge, diving into almost pure hysterics at the irony of that statement. Well, the woman wanted to see her dance, and seeing as how Mao how seemed to do some substantial damage, she had no problem with giving the woman what she wanted. Tapping her fingers over her ear lightly, a simple spell was cast, bringing the song within her head to life. And so, her feet started to move, weaving her little form through the ravenous vines in a dance so simple, yet full of such energetic life, she couldn't help but to audibly burst with laughter as the mage fell into an unconscious heap in front of the Tuzi Witch. "Bam Ratatata, Tatatatata~"

The council burst into a grand cheer. " never one to disappoint dear Tuzi Witch"
they laughed and had new rounds of drinks. Kayis was caught in amazement of what
he had just witnessed. His eyes wide as the young witch walked past him, he felt
a cold chill to his spine. She was a pretty woman but something about her was
off, almost repellent. He clutched Chloes hand tighter now and smiled to her as
if to show her he would protect her. It was truly amazing how far they had come
as friends in the short time. She had saved him maybe it was a task set out by
the gods above. The council beckoned them to take a seat then Chloe was sat
right next to the little witch that had just defeated the other. and he was set
right next to the man with the hammer. The council spoke up again after everyone
had settled. " Aukehvour, would you demonstrate your power to us?" Kayis looked
at them in surprise he didn't expect he would be fighting this day it was the
last thing he had guessed. The council looked o him with full intent and he
whispered out a small response. " umm who am i fighting?"

The council lead member then waved his hand and a man with a shield and sword
and armor and helm walked into the councils small arena. He pounded his shield,
and taunted. " come Aukehvour let us do battle under the grand council. kayis
didn't feel he had too much of a choice at this point so he got up and drew his
dagger. The council looked at him with amazement. " truly you don't intend to
face him with but a dragon do you?" kayis had but to think about it for a moment
then realized his dagger was all he had to rely on so he would have to fight him
with it to get used to it. Kayis stepped into the arena and the council spoke a
calm word. " begin" the man charged kayis swinging in a fashionable swing, the
sounds of the sword cutting wind was heard zinging past his ears:as he weaved in
and out fo the strikes best he could. The man Then bashed his shield outward
knocking kayis on his ass. kayis panicked at that point running away the man
chased and slashed at him, only once did his blade swing through a table. Kayis
stumbled around and the man shouted. " Is this the mighty Aukehvour? If this boy
is the hope of the rebellion then we are due for dark days indeed!!" This
continued a few other times, the man would catch up to kayis and his shield
would bash his nose making blood fly over the ground. Kayis was getting dizzy
from trauma and finally the council lead raised his hand to stop the fight. The
man spat at kayis. "hmph Pathetic!"

Kayis wandered his way back to his chair a grim look upon his face. The council
spoke amongst themselves and shook there heads at points. He turned to Chloe and
tried to smile blod running out his nose a tiny bit. " some hero aye?" he asked
as the council convened He wondered what the witch must think of him at this
point and the warrior who he sat next to. sighing and waiting for them to say
something he sat his head down on the table only long enough for the man next to
him to slap him in the back of the head. " stop pouting for yourself, when there
are so many other reasons to feel grief" kayis straightened up at that point and
the council cleared their voice. " after we have convened we have decided that
you Aukehvour need some training" The next council member interrupted at this
point. " However we have also decided there is no time to waste and you wil be
traveling as you train" Then another talked. " Harot, and hmm lets say Mao will
be your guide to the Dragons Den." then the one whom had found them first spoke.
" tomorrow i will lead you and your party out fo the city, we will prepare you
with the most we can" they all bowed then and kayis thought to himself " thanks
for asking... me to do all this" he grumbled to himself in a cute way. Mostly he
was just glad they were giving him an opportunity. After he had thought about it
all night he realized that this was his destiny from birth, to serve the Empire
or to destroy them.

Feeling the squeeze at her hand she smiled softly glancing back at her companion. She looked the the woman over who had just won her fight. She was a beautiful girl, very sweet look to her. She smiled at her and bowed her head softly at her showing her respect. It was good to see a cheerful woman dominating in a fight. She had won small battles against friends as training but nothing like this battle. It made her curious what her story was, if she would play a part in their travels. If so how would she respond to them, friendly, private, annoyed? It could be good or it could be bad. They were waved over to two seats around the table. She walked to her seat next to the woman who had just fought and smiled at her as she softly spoke to her," quiet a fight you put up there."

Sitting Up straight she looked over the people around the table as they spoke to Kayis. Turning her head sharply to look at Kayis when they spoke of a fight. She didn't expect him to have to fight, surely he wouldn't want to from at the chaos that had been happening. She was about to ask him if he would be alright a man entered banging on shield. She looked him over feeling sick to her stomach out of worry. She softly touched his hand before he got up to fight. She smiled up at him to show it would be alright then she watched. Gripping the chair as each swing towards him and turned her head away once blood came from his nose. She was angry at the people around the table for assuming so much from a stranger. Staying quiet she lightly ran her fingers over her ribbons as they tried slipping away to help Kayis. Once he came back to his chair she let her ribbons go. The slid under the table up his chair wrapped softly around his arm holding tight enough to feel like a hug. She smiled at him after he smiled at her and she tried to hide her worry as she looked down once they began to speak to him again.

Dull throbs pulsed themselves slowly through the veins strung through Mao's temples; if a pain so subtle could be explained as the heightened throb of blood behind a bruise, this would certainly elucidate the slowly ensuing prelude to a perfectly imperfect headache for Mao. Mana having dissipated noticeably, and the euphoric beat subsiding substantially, she was left simply with the beginnings of an unwanted affliction, and a rather sleepy stature to match. Slipping away from the battle stage, which so much seemed to be more of dance floor, she seated herself into the chair cast off away from the others, threading the crimson cord once more through her fingertips to start on a calm sense of mind. There were certain advantages to being the 'Tuzi Witch' no one wanted to sit next to; a calm, quiet little area of the room all to yourself, space for stretching any which way she pleased in the plush chair she now cuddled into, and freedom to cast any magic with her strings without affecting, or harming another person in the process. And so, the fact that the two new people among them were seated so easily beside her, without the slightest care in the world, was a bit of a disappointment to Mao. It couldn't be helped, but for the council to place them next to her... 'You'd think they'd consider it risky, at the least~ Silly men...' The internal thought warmed her mind just a little, though; obviously they trusted her not to mess with their seemingly prized new toy, or his elfin friend.

Speaking of which... Mao, being the rather unobservant, or rather, uninterested person she was, hadn't taken one look at the two of them yet; and considering the fact that they would most likely be around for a while, a glance would probably do her good for the moment. And so, as they were seated, she took a moment to lift the plum haze of iris' under the ivory fringe, letting her eyesight adjust to the details of each silhouette slowly. The nearest of the two, the female elf, seemed to have a few redeeming qualities worth note; physically she was quite pretty, and fit for battle, it seemed. Internally it seemed she was much the same, as the compliment she posed to a woman she knew naught of was taken considerably. "Ah, thank you~ fighting is just a form of dance, so I'll take the compliment likewise, okie-doki? Ehe~" And with a cheeky grin, her eyes fluttered a bit, refocusing on the man beside this elfin beauty, the supposed 'Dragon Born' that would lead them into a new age. His build was that of a younger boy, maybe in his late-teens at best; corporeal wise, he seemed not even an element of comparison to most of the other physically stacked men among them. Underneath the youth of his muscles, however, Mao could spot areas of definite potential; this was shocking, to say the least, and perhaps a bit enlightening. It wasn't, however, until her eyes lifted to the boyish features of his face, that Mao was truly stunned; his eyes, such a deep gold it was easy to find yourself searching for a deeper treasure buried within their depths, the ivory layers of hair framing his face, and the wondrous, adventurous gleam underlying his expression...

'Kayis...?' The name was murmured to herself, too far away from ears other than the elfin girl beside her to hear, as the boy was whisked away into a fight and the council members remained distant. 'Kayis...' this time repeated in her head, as the eye-site she previously worked to focus blurred around the edges, until the people among her were nothing but black and white silhouettes. "He's here, of all places? And a Dragon Born? He's no Dragon Born... He's not the savior these fools think he is... is he?' It was true, last they met he was none of the things they claimed him to be now, as he stood before her, attempting and failing to hold up in a simple play spar. He was so obviously not her Kayis, the friend she had made possibly years ago, if her inaccurate sense of time was in any way close now, in all the chaos that was now her mind. So then who was this familiarly masked unfamiliar before her tired, violet eyes? "Hm..." Just another murmur, more of a sigh, as the threaded shapes and symbols between her fingertips started to take affect. "Oh... I forgot..." Since the two had been seated next to her, she planned on letting the cast go and withstanding the headache until she was alone again, but once she had been taken by the thought of Kayis standing before her, she had lost track in the cast itself, continuing subconsciously. The slowly succumbing haze of peace settling over her mind instilled some calm between the chaos, and for this she Mao was thankful. It was just calm, anyway, which it seemed these two needed more than anyone right now, so she eased herself, allowing her fingers to continuously move, for not just her, but the three of them at this point. Settling comfortably into the plush cushions, the eyelids hovering about such bright violet irises dipped, shielding Mao from the outside world for just a little while. Whatever the council decided to do with her now, whether Kayis recognized her, whether her presence was even acknowledged, she would just let it pass for now, rest easy, and deal with it later...

Kayis felt fairly weak after how he had been beaten so easily, the way the man
taunted him. He figured it had to be expected his father had attempted to keep
him from combat as much as possible. He was thankful for that but it had to be
known by his father who he was, what he was. He was no longer some normal human,

he realized this and it scared him. Surely the journey ahead was going to be
very difficult he was sure he would see more people.. he couldn't think of the
word, not now. HIs eyes started to shut as he thought of his sister limp corpse.
There was no anger just a sorrow that could not be explained. Biting his lip he
tried to focus on something else. he was only a child and here he was in this
mess, a mess that held a danger that no one could ever understand each and every
day: not only for himself but for his new companions.

Kayis finally opened his eyes to look upon his two new traveling friends. He
didn't know how they felt about him, Harot had been the only one to speak to him
so far. Kayis eyes adjusted on the young witch, She was quite pretty though her
style, he didn't quite understand:still it made her her own person. He felt
Chloe s ribbons wrap around him to secretly hug him. He smiled to her showing
that he was alright. Finally kayis got the nerve to speak up. " excuse me if you
would Council but when was i asked to do this?" the council stopped speaking
confused " why what do you mean sir?" Kayis pushed back the lump in his throat
and spoke up again. " when was i asked to serve this council or even invited, im
a young boy i didn't choose this path i realize that much but i dont understand
exactly what gave you the right to choose it for me either." his face was stern
as he looked them over. they huddled together not exactly sure how to react to
this, Harot shook his head and chuckled to himself amused by their frustration
he was entirely on kayis side with this despite the fact of him being their
hopes and dreams, he was just a boy Harot already realized that much.

Finally the council finished there convention. Sir you are the first dragon born
to ever be known that the empire has not stomped out or taken for himself, we
assumed the hear of the dragon born would want this for himself, we also did not
expect to find you in such a... well vulnerable state." they stopped then and
kayis spoke up clinching his fist. " i didn't choose to be this, nor did i ever
want it either. i watched my sister die before my very eyes, i watched my first
survival companion and friend fall to the empires might iv seen what they can do
but at least have enough respect to ask me if i will help you!" he sighed
letting his fist loosen. " This isn't for me its for you so at least have the
decency to ask for help and not command it of me when you don't even know where
i come from." The council nodded at that point and his request was granted. " we
apologize for that sir, it appears the heart of the dragon born to be stubborn
and bold indeed thank you for that, will you please help us to over throw the
tyranny that plagues this land and fulfill your destiny as aukehvour?" kayis let
out a grin. " I will do what i can, oh and its the heart of Kayis not a dragon
born please remember that" They nodded and he turned to Chloe i suppose this
meeting should be close to over don't you think hon?

Taking note of what she said, 'fighting is like dancing' she smiled softy nodding at this. It was true, maybe that's why wasn't so skilled in fighting, she wasn't a good dancer. She shook her head softly as she laughed in her head quietly, careful to not make it obvious she wanted to laugh. It was no time to laugh after seeing kayis fight the way he did against this warrior. She lightly cleared her throat as she sat listening to all that was happening around her. Since nothing was directly to her she had time to think about all that has happened. Saving a stranger, gaining a companion from it, traveling to this town, witnessing profanity and murder right after the other. Now they were here finding out Kayis was a dragon born that he had told her about and she was simply someone who tagged along. Thinking of this hit her harder than expected. Who was she to invade in such an important person's life? She was nothing but a future leader of the Avariels who was lost in finding her way in life. Was this where she was suppose to be? Maybe this new witch was suppose to fill her shoes and help him on his journey and she was suppose to go find her own.

She shook her head shaking it off knowing it was just all the chaos getting to her thoughts. Of course she was suppose to be here and help him, otherwise she would be elsewhere right now. Hearing Kayis speak up next to her she turned to look at him and smiled seeing that he had a real smile on his face as he spoke. It was the first time she had heard him speak up for himself. She kept her mouth shut knowing this was his time to speak for himself, to show them he isn't there toy to push around. Once he was done speaking to them she softly chuckled at their shock and looked over to Kayis once he spoke to her. Smiling brightly she said,"I believe you are correct Kayis, now that you have earned your respect." she smiled and patted the top of his hand with hers then looked over the council to see what else they might say.

Post  ~Mao~ Wed Aug 31, 2011 10:07 pm

The violet haze drifted for a while, dipping back and forth between blurring shades of black and white; movement stirred, voices dipped and climbed, life was taking place. Life, that Mao had no interest in for the short moments of peace she could maintain. Her eyelids continued to shadow the orbs that so loathed to see such lack of beauty in the world around her. Her ears remained unfocused, no beats connecting to those drums for the moment. The only tangible bridge carrying her over to reality now, was the slim, cool ribbon between her fingertips; cords connecting her so carefully to the world she carelessly ignored. In her own mind, there was another realm in which she lay; strung between the shores of sanity and reality. "The grave yard of memories, Death's deep tomb; Why enter such a place, for such a young beaty of mysterious nature?" Those words once spoken to her by Kayis himself had forever resonated within her mind; long before, and much longer after she had even become aware. 'Silly Kayis, what you didn't know, is that I've always been strung between those lines, drowning in such deathly memories...' This place was where here thoughts truly drifted, branching out like lonely vines, desperately searching for some proof that there once existed a man, and a memory, that Jezza-Bell DIDN'T have to pretend with, that Mao could return to her old life with. "So close..." But a whisper in the otherwise chaos of the world around her. "I didn't choose this path, I realize that much..." 'In fact, I wish I had the choice to choose my own path a long time ago...' The words that drifted into her ears were the very same as the thoughts she held inside; in a faint, murmured thought, she replied as such. "... But I don't understand exactly what gave you the right to choose it for me, either." This part, however, seemed less like her inner thoughts... 'Whats going on?'

Slowly the plum irises refocused, searching for the origins of these stray thoughts that only partially met up; once her eyes fell upon the moving lips, the haze was cleared. "Oh, it was Kayis speaking, not me..." And so, slowly, her stature straightened into a more sociable posture, fingertips gracing the ivory strands in such a way as to straighten the bunny ears and shield her eyes from direct light. Paying attention as best she could, she picked up rather quickly on what the current conversation revolved around; soon enough to let an audible giggle sound through the room, as her councilmen scrambled to make sense of Kayis' sudden back-bone. 'Just like the old Kayis...' she mused, a tiny smirk tilting the tips of her lips. Stringing the cord once more around her neck, she took the short pause as an exit-stage, stepping out of her seat to stretch, before dancing over to tap on Kayis' shoulder from behind. Quirky dimples popping the frosty, fair cheeks, she lifted onto her tippy-toes with a light murmur. "Good boy, make sure they know you're not their new toy, Ehe~" And with an amused giggle that seemed to ring throughout the room, she gave a cheeky grin and wave to the elfin girl, with a simple "We'll be good friends, 'kay?", and danced herself out of the room; she would retire for the night, rubbing her eyes with a sleepy yawn as she walked down the corridor and into darkness.

Kayis couldn't help but feel he had accomplished something with how he had
reacted to their comments. he was more surprised the way the wondrous Tuzi Witch
had come up to him consulting him for the first time. His eyes met hers and he
smiled. " I would assume we will be good friends lady Mao." He turned to Harot
and nodded to him as well. He was beyond a normal friendship with Chloe. He
would protect her first and fore most of all this. His eyes turned back to the
council. " thank you for your consideration sir's, so when shall my training
begin. also if you would do not let me be the only concern you have. she is just
as important as i am. The elves hold a source of magic we cant begin to
understand. But how would they ever allow us humans so bent on power and war
into their home eh?" he knew he would explain to her why he had said such things
as if he were using her, he never would have used her but this was necessary to
get things the way he wanted them to be. The councils eyes widened at the way he
talked and the strategic purpose behind it. " sir what do you propose?" they
wanted to hear more after realizing how easily they were drawn he knew what
strings to pull with them to get them to go the way he wanted. he had a quest
but something made him more eager to see something else beyond his quest. " i
wish for your group to leave for the elven land and take the see to the dragons
Den it would be the easiest and most time efficient way to get where we need to
be while still getting the training we both require to pull this off, whether
you like it or not she's staying with me through it all." the council convened
again and almost instantly they nodded. " truly this is a brilliant proposal we
have but one request on your travels to the elven lands, " they turned to
Chloe:" lady elf would you teach him how to speak and the customs that are
needed in your home?" They calmly waited for her response. Kayis sat back
letting her take the spot light for once smiling to himself he was surely going
to et it later on this night.

She relaxed her shoulders and smiled after she was done speaking. It felt good to speak for herself, voice her opinion. Hearing Kayis speak she looked at him with gentle eyes. Never had she met men a man of any race that had stood by her words. Taking hold of his hand she couldn't help but smile more. Glancing back to the man who seemed to be the voice of this group she bowed her head softly in thanks. She lightly held his hand tighter out of excitement and happiness. It was another story that would be added to their journey. What would become of him, of her, the both of them, her people? It all was apart of a great mystery soon to be revealed. She thanked them in her native tongue then looked over at Kayis smiling as she looked into his golden eyes with her bright sparkling blue eyes.

She stood to her feet, hoping Kayis would follow as she walked her way back down they way their room was. She walked at a slow place as her mind wandered thinking of what tomorrow held. Her ribbons slid to her and ran their way up to her hair, where it braided itself between hair and rested on her shoulder. Once she had reached the room, she closed the door behind her, or Kayis if he had followed, and slipped out of the gown she was given to wear today and put on her silky gown, feeling more comfortable as she laid down on her side of the bed smiling big. She sat up and looked to kayis,"Thank you for this, I am sure that my people will be happy to speak to such an honorable person. I just hope everything goes smoothly." Her smile faded to a simple little smile, still happy, just slightly worried as she laid back onto her back and let out a soft sigh as she let her body relax.

Chloe was quick to rise form her seat after she had said what need be said and
the council had granted their request. Her hand in his it was warm, tender
almost to a comforting level. He walked with her following at the foot step with
her to the room where they had stayed the night before. His thoughts were
buzzing with why she may want to come back here so soon with other things to do
but he didn't mind the peace of it all was what lured him mostly. He casually
watched her remove her clothing his eyes gazing upon her perfect features though
not to intently as to emberass her. He smiled after she was garbed a tiny bit
more and sat on the side of the bed taking off his shirt again. then his pants
he looked to her with his wondrous golden eyes and that smile he had but this
time he didn't take his eyes from hers, he looked directly into them tracing
each detail. the beautiful iris and black color that made them sparkle in the
sunlight. The he traced to her prefect fixated lips. His eyes only a mere vessel
for the desire he held for contact.

Slowly the light would dim as he spent his time just looking at her he had
hardly realized that he had gotten closer to her after a few moments. a small
knot in his throat, he couldnt explain the rushing of his heart and head. his
mind a blur by all things except what seemed to intrigue him most in that
moment. This mystery, this wonder that he was so far from solving yet on the
pinnacle of its discovery. his lips moved to each other as he wet them trying to
find another thought beyond her perfectly angels crafted face. this attempt
seemed folly, however his face only mere inches from hers by this point of
realization the door had a knock upon it. kayis mind reached a realization of
where he was and unwillingly he got up from the bed to answer the door. unsure
of what was going on as clouded as his mind had become in those few short
moments. the maid had brought them a new pair of clothes for the travel in the
morning.

She laid in the bed, relaxing her muscles, her mind, thoights everything. All the stress from happy to worried to excited and back to happy were tiring emotionally, she wouldn't want to waist this whole day on laying in bed, hoping after dinner they would be able to roam around and find something entertaining for the both of them. As she laid on her said, facing Kayis she smiled softly up at him. Her eyes softly glimmering as they looked up into his. She wasn't sure what it was about him that made her want to stay with him on this journey, to fight for him and help him find answers but she was glad she had it. As his eyes looked her over she did the same only to him. It was silent, but peaceful, something they both needed. Feeling the closeness of their faces she looked up into his golden eyes as it seemed their were just an inch away he pulled away to go to the door. She shook her head softly to snap out of it and she stood to her feet and walked to the door to thank the maid for bringing us our clothes and looked them over to be sure they would be alright for coming into her people's home.

Once she had left she put back on her gown they gave her this morning," I think I am going to walk around for a few minutes, I'll come back to the room before dinner. If you aren't here I will see you at dinner." She smiled at him and walked over to him, leaned over and lightly placed a kiss on his cheek and found her way out the door, closing it behind her. She brushed her dress off as she began to walk and let out a sigh that she had been holding in before kissing Kayis' cheek, not sure how he would take it. She began to wander around aimlessly wondering many different things from her home, to Kayis to the new people she had met today and her dream of her father. Nothing hit her to hard, she was still in a good mood from laying with Kayis but she let it all soak in, as she needed to daily. Her ribbons slipped out of her hair and slid down the halls, finding their way to Kayis.

Kayis felt it was best that he let her have her time. He wanted to not pressure
her, and surely that approach he had made was too much. there were so many
things left to learn of her mysterious people. she was so reserved with him. as
if she wanted to but there was something holding her back. His mind was a blur
with the thoughts of all this. He wondered to himself. " wonder if she would
withdraw if it were one of her own kind" something gav ehim the hunch this had
alot to do with it. As far as history dated there was no such thing as a mix
with human born and elven race. He shook off the though laying back a bit until
he got bored. He expected she might be back soon but he also figured he should
get some sort of practice in.

Lodging himself off of the bed he took a simple stance raising his fist's he
threw a single punch follwoing with a second jab, throwiung a single hook. his
punches were slow even for his size. It dissapointed him but there wasnt much he
could do so far he continued to throw the punches sweat falling from his face.
His eyes determined, powerful He kept going his arms felt dead as if they could
drop at any given moment, however they didnt. His breathing was hash and his
chest was giving out a bit, until he clutched at his heart. He finally took a
seat on the bed wiping the sweat from his fore head he let himself rest waiting
for the dinner call or her to return.

As she wandered the halls she began to say things in her native tongue to make sure she didn't loose any of it from being away for a few days. She was so nervous on what tomorrow would bring. Kayis didn't know about what could become of her if they weren't happy with her being back so soon or if they were to be angered by the presence of a human. If she failed it could be the end of her as she new it. She stretched her wings out since they were sore from those muscles not being used in awhile. As she continued to speak in her tongue she came to a stop as she neared the end of a hall way. Sighing she let out all the bad in her. She felt better as she walked back and couldn't help but smile thinking of how close her and Kayis had gotten. She didn't know how he felt of her or her race. What the future held for them or whether their families would even except the face they were different in race if it were to lead down the road she had been hoping.

As she got to their door she paused, thinking for a moment, then before the doors she got down onto her knees. Lightly she placed her hand on the wood of the door and closed her eyes. Softly she spoke in her tongue in one straight tone. It sounded as if she were praying. In a way she was, when she was raised she was always taught to ask for the things that she wanted to happen, wanted to see, hold, anything, that she must asked in the kindest of ways. Anyone listening wouldn't understand unless they knew her language or watched her as her hand, that wasn't on the door, began to move around her as if she were speaking with her hands. As she finished her words slowed till she stopped speaking. She stood to her feet and opened her eyes that now had a subtle glow to them. She smiled and had such a happy look with her bod language. She opened he door to the room, shut it behind her and looked over at Kayis,"We still have some time before dinner. Is there anything you'd like to do?" she asked from in front of the bed.

Kayis had finished his training just in time for the door to creak open he
looked over to her with his deep golden eyes jumping from the bed. " welcome
back lady chloe." he bowed as he usually did to her. he let her come over and
sit by him just now noticing how the ribbons she usually wore were wrapped
around his ankles. " haha thats a first" he said as he looked down at them
expecting they would return to their owner in the next second. He took her hand
again and listened to her as she spoke. " well honestly wouldn't it be better to
just sit here for now and enjoy the parties of this place after we are full, do
something around here?" he asked.

"Thank you Kayis." she said as he bowed to her and she lightly bowed her head to him before she came and sat beside him. She looked at where he was looking, down at his ankles and she laughed softly then they found their way over to her once agin. She had forgot that her ribbons nearly had a mind of their own and would always enjoy clinging to anyone close to their owner when trouble wasn't around, almost like a dog. Smiling more once she felt Kayis' hand in hers she looked up at him as he spoke then nodded in agreement."I think that is a great idea. So when would you like to start learning about my people, the language and everything that you don't know?" she looked down as she waited for his reply. Even as she listened to him her free hand lightly traced invisible shapes on the back of his hand that was holding hers.

Kayis smiled, her hand was warm in his and he didn't want to let it go. Over all
he was a fairly lazy individual, or was that just the excuse he used to relax.
Laying his head back he shut his eyes. The pillow was a sense of the purest
delight and comfort as it melded to his head nicely. He was tired from the fun
he had endured facing the councils titan. His eyes still hurt as well as his
nose from the blunt trauma he had directly taken. But he wouldn't complain about
it, he realized that he had to be strong now. As he tried to just lay there he
found his eyes couldn't help but wander along her body, stalling in certain
spots like her gorgeous blue eyes painted int he most tranquil stream, a swirl
of the most brilliant hues of blue blended in a masterpiece of a gods finest
art. his hand hadn't left hers but he wondered what she would do as well. Just
in time for his mind to become vacant from all things he was interrupted with
the sounds of the maid clonking on the door. she stepped in only half way. "
dinner is served sir milady." she bowed as she stepped out and kayis cracked his
neck a bit as he slowly raised up his hair a shaggy mess atop his head he
laughed shaking it out. and got dressed waiting for her at the door in his tunic
and nobles pants

Once he laid back she laid onto her side, facing him. Looking him over, head to toe she couldn't help but smile. He was a sweet, handsome man. Her eyes looked to where he was bruised from the fight earlier and the chaos of the past two days. The silence was nice, giving them time to be together and not worry about anything else. Her crystal blue eyes looked up at his golden eyes as he looked at hers. They color in his eyes was something special, she had never seen golden eyes before, so bold but beautiful, almost unreal. She looked to his lips thinking back to only a few hours back where they were just inches from each other, what would have happened if their lips had met? What would have changed between them? She was so curious to find out till there was a knock at the door. She looked over her shoulder to the maid, smiled at her and thanked her. Lightly squeezing his hand before he got up. She sat up, pulled her hair back and stood up stretching herself out slightly then walked over to Kayis and leaned over placing a gentle kiss on his cheek, smiled at him, then walked out the door to head to dinner.

Kayis opened the door a bit surprised by the kiss she had put upon his cheek. He
couldn't help but smile as he led the way down the main hallway. others passed
by running to the feasting room, they knew what festivities awaited this day.
Kayis was confused as to why they were excited but as he stepped closer to the
grand room they were so aware of he heard the commotion and cheering of the
others that were int he room. His eyes turned to her with the smile of an
excited child. it couldn't be taken for granted that kayis was still only a kid
in the aspect of age. he was 16 years old. He took her hand then in a hurried
rush moved into the room where his eyes dazzled in amazement at the rooms
decorations. " wow.." he managed to say as he looked at the multi colored
torches lit around a big coliseum sized room the large set of four giant tables
sat int eh center a nice hued wood about them. they had food almost to the
ceiling, from pig roast, to turkey and mashed potatoes and so much much more
salads anything you could imagine. Kayis heard the roar of the crowd as he
entered and they began to bang their fists on the table. Kayis didn't know
exactly what he should do so he looked to chloe with his dazzled eyes waiting
for her to do something.

She followed Kayis and laughed softly as people ran by them and she listened to all the noise echoing off the walls. She smiled more seeing how excited she was. She was excited as well not sure what was happening but she seemed to have a calm look on her, as she always seemed to have. Elves normally didn't show childish happiness or excitement once they reached the training age. Her race lived to be over 500 years old, she was only 20 which was very young for her race, but older compared to the human race. She held his hand slightly tighter than normal from her small nerves kicking in as they walked in. Looking around them she smiled at all of the decorations then heard loud cheering coming in front of them. She smiled and bowed her head 3 times, one to the left, one to the middle and her last to the right then looked over to kayis to see how he reacted to all the people in the room

Kayis was confused that she wasn't excited as he was it kinda dimmed his mood
just a tiny bit as he wanted to appear just a tad more grown up. He started
walking around seeing few people he had never seen before. Some were gypsies
that flitted by him dancing with most there bodies exposed. Others were men
armored from head to to except there heads. They looked down to him and smiled.
" its quite the Pleasure to meet you Young Rider, and you as well lady Elf"
Kayis took there hands one at a time and shook them. He shook so many hands that
his hand seemed to pulse from pressure of their strong grasp. He Chuckled to
himself still walking with Chloe. The Banter of certain things that were going
on in the world amused him. they spoke as politicians but there methods that
were suggested to solve the problems were not so... peaceful. In one of the
Conversations a Young woman clad in her own armor with a side cape that hung
over her arm spoke up. " If we were to cripple Adriel, then we would surely have
our moment to strike down the king." the men boomed with laughter at the idea. "
storming Adriel is the equivalent to storming the Gates of Tartarus its self."
Kayis couldn't help but attempt to get a better look at the woman whom had spoke
up. Peering between bodies he caught a glimpse. She was tanned down slightly and
her black raven hair was put back into a sleek pony tail. that hung over her
shoulder. Kayis was curious about this woman and, what was Adriel?

As time went on Through that night things began to slow down and people took
their seats at the large tables. Kayis took Chloe's hand just wandering with her
the tables seemed to fill before there eyes until only two seats remained at the
foot end of the table int he center. Kayis eyes grew wide and he gulped, as he
walked with her over to the two seats and took the largest one. The Men still
bantered to themselves and the women whispered as they looked over toward him
and giggled. Some pointed to Chloe and then whispered while glaring. Kayis was
irritated by this but there wasn't much to do. Then all of the sudden the
chatter stopped and they cleared their voices and looked to kayis as if waiting
for him to do something. or say something. Kayis looked them all over and his
hand tightened with Chloe's. One of the Council members with silver hear and
sleek poised face spoke up. " Dear Auk eh Vour, Kayis, we have prepared this
meal and called forth our generals in celebration of you and your companions
ariv, Kayis interrupted " Chloe!" and they corrected themselves. " you and Lady
Chloe's Arrival. For you this feast we hope to hear of your plans for this and
have a discussion whilst we feast. " he Bowed then and stepped back. One of the
men from earlier who kayis had met now stood up as he took a chunk out of a
chicken leg. " Young Kayis, Please explain with us what will be your first steps
to over throw the empire." Kayis stumbled for a moment but then got to his feet
fighting a gulp he pulled Chloe up with him to stand by him hand in hand. " My
first act of anything is to visit the Elven Forest of Shaodorai, I will
communicate with the elves about matters of my own it is still far too early int
he game to challenge the Empire. Kayis waited for their response, and they were
not happy. though kayis spotted a young hooded woman Hold up a card in her hand
SP. then after noticing she or he had given me the message they revealed on eye
the other still masked in shadow. Kayis didn't exactly understand what was going
on but his mind was fast at work putting the things together. as he waited for
someone to speak up again. This time a woman stepped up. " Lady Elf, its is very
well known that Humans aren't allowed in the home of the elves, not even the
Empire dare try his luck, why are you getting close to someone they will never
allow a future with? have you given up your rights at home or are you banished.
Kayis Shouted cutting her off. " thats enough!" The woman withdrew and Kayis
waited to see what Chloe would do he whispered to her. " you do not have to
answer her." his eyes locked on hers.

Post  Chloe Naldice Lumar Wed Aug 31, 2011 10:25 pm

Chloe was very excited seeing everything around her but knew if she were to act foolish that no one would take her as serious as they needed to. She smiled big as her eyes wandered all the different activities around them till they were spoken to. Making eye contact with each of them at least once she nodded her head softly at each of them after making eye contact. She laughed softly at his chuckle and looked over to him and was happy to finally see a smile on his face. It was nice to see him smile and be excited instead of tense and nervous. She had loosened up slightly though she was still nervous not knowing what to expect these people to throw at us next. She hoped that Kayis wouldn't shed anymore blood while they were still here, though she was prepared for it better than she was the last time. Seeing Kayis look at the woman she glanced over at her then looked away just as quick. She seemed to be a strong leader and a good fighter. It was slightly intimidating but she kept a smile just the same to be sure not to show what she was thinking, a trick she learned growing up.

Feeling his hand in hers as the night when on she smiled and held it happily. As they walked to the table she noticed the table filling up, where would they sit? She looked to the end of the table where two chairs were left open for them. She gripped his hand tighter knowing he would be just as nervous to sit in front of all these people as she was, maybe more so. She felt eyes on her but simple ignored it. She knows that walking into any room people would be quick to judge her. She was different and her people had a bad past with the people around this table, it was bound to happen. She took in a deep breath slowly and let it out just as slow before they got to their seats. Once someone began to speak to them she felt like someone had socked her in the gut when kayis had to shout out her name to the man speaking to him. It was embarrassing to her that they didn't know her name. This wasn't her story, this was true, but he didn't get here by herself. Was she just for show? The man sat down just as another man rose to his feet with meat in his hand, a sign of a blood thirsty man in her eyes. She was suddenly pulled to her feet next to Kayis and put on a sweet smile to everyone as he spoke. She nodded her head as he spoke, showing she had agreed to this plan and she watched as it seemed everyone was upset. It wasn't the bloody scene they were hoping to hear him play out for them, Chloe was slightly irritated at the moment. Hearing a woman speak up she looked to her. Hearing the words she spoke made her angry, she only let her face come to a more serious look. When Kayis cut her off she didn't lose eye contact with her even though Kayis was looking to her.

Cutting off Kayis before he said she didn't have to reply she spoke in powerful, full voice that Kayis hasn't heard from her yet."Never is a very strong word, a word that was not spoken from my people. We hope to gain friendships back, not keep them away. Your kind is much different then of the Avariels. We do not become excited that war is about to stir, that our peoples blood will be spilt over foolishness and power that is not needed. My people live to see that the grounds you walk on is treated as an equal so that we may live and grow and produce." As she spoke she made sure to look over everyone at the table, not just the woman, though this was mainly for her ears to hear. "I have come here in order to help a friend, help gain an old lost friendships. I was chosen to go outside of my home, my comfort and gain knowledge, strength, wisdom, and friendships for my peoples sake. It may all seem unreal to you all, some fairy tale you would tell a child but I am not some fairy tale. If you wish to over throw an empire you can not do it alone. With me by your side and having your respect my people will see that they may trust you again. My life is on the line as we speak by being here and even planning to bring a human into my peoples land, yet I stand here telling you that I will, is that not enough?" she looked around the table with her eyes as she silence settled, she waited for anyone to talk, she had much more to say but there was no time for it all, they wouldn't want to hear it anyway.

The Economic City of Vatus - Page 2 Empty Re: The Economic City of Vatus

Post  ~Mao~ Thu Sep 01, 2011 12:07 am

A silent giggle elapsed unseen lips; a small breath snatched from the banter-filled air of the dining hall, to be taken in by cherry-pink lips. 'So many insults being thrown, so tiresome...' Pulling a crimson cord from the circlet of her neck, nimble fingers wove through the binds with practiced gestures. Hidden panoramas of twisted and tied proportions were created and deconstructed in time to build anew. Masked within the shadows of the large amphitheater's far-sided corridor, the Tuzi Witch stood, secretly casting an interlude to the arguments that now tainted the sleep-sated ears tucked carefully under Mao's ivory hair. Moments passed, the spell building with every thread of the lace string within her grasp. When the time came, and the final symbol was cast, a Mona Lisa smile would come to curve the sakura pillows of Mao's lips, just a little bit. "Cats Cradle~" she whispered, so softly as to speak only to the string itself. With no more delays, Mao's considerably small form broke away from the shadows of the corridor, stepping into the technicolor glow of the torches' flames; her ivory locks tinted a soft, sweet sakura hue by such romantically lit customs. "Instead of ranting and raving to each other, perhaps you should simply enjoy your aliments in hoopla of the dawn of a new age, yes?"

By this time, the cradle had been cast to a great portion of the room; a spell so simple, yet so unnoticeably intrusive to the many unconscious minds around her. The cats cradle, simply, was one of the many illusionary spells the Tuzi Witch could cast through the conduction of her strings, and the depths of her dark magic. It was a spell that, with a small enough distance range, would weave its way into the strands of the individual's unconscious mind, planting thoughts or emotions with a simple pluck of the strings. In a way, Mao was a musician; playing the strands of people's minds like a pizzicato violinist would his delicate instrument. Of course, such an ability could be used in a multitude of ways; for now, the cats cradle was simply meant to cast a calm, collective mood about the otherwise pandemonium of the room. "I'm too sleepy for you all to yell now." And with a quiet giggle, flitted her little feet over the floor, eyes scanning the crowd for someone interesting enough to amuse her until she was fully awake. As she did so, it was to her content so see her fellow councilmen relax in their seats, as well as a large portion of the generals gathered around the area she had cast with her spell. It seems they didn't quite know it yet, but as they calmed, and their recognition of Mao's presence in the room took precedence, a couple of the higher ups, whom were well versed with her abilities, gained a knowing glint to their eyes about their new-found, calmed minds.

"I'm sure you know by now, Tuzi Witch, that casting upon your fellow councilmen could be considered betrayal..." It wasn't shortly after the head councilman had stepped up to correct her actions, that he found himself calming once more. Purple haze lifting to meet the head councilman's eyes, a childish glint to her eyes and a toothy grin settled itself into her expression, a small giggle parting ways from her lips, as to be the prelude to her innocent words. "Ohoho, am I in trouble then, Mister councilman? Oopsies~" It was undeniable to him by now, the peace in which she had granted him; even though the means were considered wrong, him fighting it would only leave him conflicted within his own mind. And so, along with the others, the councilman gave a sigh, murmuring in a much more even tone than prior. "Well, I suppose its fine for now. At any rate, we are to be having a celebration this night, in honor of the coming days of grace for our cause! Let us toast, to our new comrades, the Dragon Born Kayis, and his Elven Lady, Chloe!" And in the next moment, glasses lifted, sloshing with their individual contents as the rims then came to the lips of those gathered in toast. Mao lifted her own, though currently empty, an amused giggle reigning from her lips at the irony. Her plum gave spotting the still figures of Kayis and Chloe, a large grin spread across her childlike face, cheeks dimpling once more in their frosty, fair glory, as she made her way over to the both of them. Stopping beforehand to fill her glass with a cherry-pink liquid the color of her lips, she danced herself over the floor, stopping short next to the both of them; raising her glass into the air once more, she tilted her head upward toward their taller heights, violet eyes reflecting an ethereal glow by the torch lights for them to see. "Here's to you two, yeah? Ehe~" And with this, she took a long pull of the liquid, settling herself at the table close by them. Small, bare feet propped up on the table's edge, she took a bowl of fruits from the table, nibbling on them like candies, her eyes tracing over the room in silent wonder.

The Economic City of Vatus - Page 2 Empty Re: The Economic City of Vatus

Kayis was mostly stunned by the performance of character Chloe had shown. She was so tiny, almost frail it would seem: but there was no way anyone could say she was weak. After all the word weak could be rendered into such fine meaning. Kayis smiled shaking his head as the woman had coward in her chair speechless. The council seemed fairly upset by her blatant insults to human kind and how she had expressed the elven form of racism in their presence.

Just as they almost got up to yell once more and eerie aura ell over them. Kayis could see the dark magic spread through the room, and its source. " Mao?" he whispered, though just in time to see them pour there glasses with wine and make cheer, as if out of no where. They were happy from a distant seed of anger. It truly made kayis wonder, what bounds did this young witch have, what was her story? He pushed the thought aside as she walked over to join them putting away the strings she so frequently played with. He looked to chloe, though she hadn't seemed to see the smog of purple gas that covered the room and made its way into the men and women. maybe it was a gift of the Dragon Born to see aura based magics? he would think about it later along with the other question that still pieced itself in his mind. " Sp... then an Eye?" he shrugged that off as Mao got in talking distance and spoke to them.

She tipped her glass to him with her cheery smile, it was completely different from the earlier. Had he earned her respect with his comments earlier this day? " please," he smiled tipping his own glass of wine toward the table. " not to me please, to hope!" he spoke letting his glass move around nodding to everyone at the table. He noticed the cloaked person from before whom had left his mind with such puzzle had exited the room. " thank you Mao for doing what you did, things could have gotten bad" he smiled to her and made a toast in her direction now. " to a friendship that will build during our travels" he nodded happily to her and sipped from his own glass his hand still in chloe's he turned to her tipping his glass one more time in her direction. " most importantly, to rekindling old friendships, and mending the ones we have severed with the very earth we walk upon." he sipped again his golden eye hiding just above his glass looking unto hers, as he smiled on his glass.

The Moment was a nice one, everyone seemed to be enjoying there merriment this day. Thanks to Mao's little spell things had turned for the best, or so he thought. It was not soon after that Harot walked over to them, somehow he did not have the cheery smile: rather the same old smirk he usually had. He spoke to Mao in her ear " We Move in the next 10 minutes, everyone will retire to the cleaning facilities" he sounded urgent as he paused to make sure she understood. " this has to be done completely right, this very moment the empire closes around us we are not safe." his words came off sharper than intended but still his eye watched in the most sneaky way as one of the generals looked over to him whispering with an inquisitive look. he took her wine glass quickly taking a drink, and mouthed the words "slap me as soon as I'm done speaking" he continued, "use the secret passages out to get them to the Northern Border of town, i will meet you there." with that he moved in for a kiss waiting for her to slap him. so he could banter his drunken reply and pass it off. Mao now had a job, it was in her own hands now the choice what she would do? Only a hunch that Harot was counting on, but still only a hunch.
