The marsh is a wonderful land of prairie area, where stallions run free and move without restraint. The land is pure grassy plains, with patches of forestry here and there, that could stretch for days and days of travel time. Small, nameless villages line this area; each with its own untold secret.

The Marshlands Empty Re: The Marshlands

Post  Chloe Naldice Lumar Wed Aug 31, 2011 7:57 pm

Silence was all around her. The wind wasn't moving, the birds weren't singing and no voices were speaking. Her glass eyes blinked softy as she gazed over a patch of land that she played on as a young child. Where she learned how to fly, learned how to walk, talk, jump, anything you name it. This was the place she learned. It wasn't her home, but it was close to it. Being an elf from the older generations she had a long life ahead of her to live, much longer than a humans. She was still young for her ago, only being 20 years old. Most of her race lived to be 500 to 600 years old, yet it seems they had all be wiped off the face of the earth. Extinct as a human would put it. Not knowing who was a live, who was dead, or if they just moved on from this land she was left alone. Standing there seeing nothing but trees, grass and flowers made her feel so empty. They way she stood and the expression she held would have never given off that emotion to someone walking by. She stood with her spine straight, making her stand at 5'11. Her 8 ft. wings were tucked close to her back, almost in a comforting way.

She closed her eyes as a soft sigh escaped her lips letting it all out in just the slightest of sighs. Her wings began to stretch out far till her eyes opened. In a blink of the eye she squatted down and used her big wings to push her off the ground and high into the sky. Flying as fast as she could, she didn't look back knowing it wouldn't do any good. It was her time to learn and grow and find her own adventures, her own life to live. It wouldn't be easy all the time, but it wouldn't be hard all the time either. The way her mind work was like a god's. She didn't think of it that way, but i twas true. She was wise for her age, cautious, warming, and strong. Then there was her heart, which was more of a humans. Silly, childish, craving for love and wanting that family and shelter to call her own. Being so wise she knew when to listen to her head and when to listen to her heart, but that was when she was with family, now she is alone and has to learn on her own. Would she be just as wise, or would it all turn to foolishness? The thought of her failing at living her life and dyeing young was always on her mind, her race was always worried about those things. She shook her head softly and realized she had been flying for a long time and her wings were growing tired.

Seeing another clearing she slowly came to the ground, a red ribbon that was tied around her waist slowly moved it's way down to her legs, splitting in two. The two pieces of ribbon wrapped themselves around her feet, making silk ribbon shoes on her feet as they touched the ground. Looking around with her eyes she made sure there was no danger near her or any trouble that might be a problem. Once she saw it was clear she let her wings slightly hang from her back, in a relaxed fashion. Sitting down in what looked to be a field she looked above her, beside her, behind her, and all around taking in her surroundings as she debated what was next for her.

The Marshlands Empty Re: The Marshlands

The sky was bright and seemed almost as if it held the single most beutiful
atmosphere to exist. it coated only the universe, this land that was pur epof
riches that most would take for granted. Yet. it wasnt so serene as it seemed.
The violent whisp of a darted wind took over the airs current as a massive
creature flew on. The creatures massive wings webbed, and tattered for the
perfect flight, this aerial int he sky could only be called to what few had the
pleasure of seeing. It was a dragon. Massive wings covered in thick, and thin
skin, it had massive scales all across its brilliant gray body. The sky seemed
to tear with is viscious torents of power as it made flight. Though the next
thing that was heard over even the mightiest roar of the dragon was the man clad
in a cloak atop the beast.

His eyes were heardly seen but his voice resumed the presence of danger. darting
his body to make the dragon curve its body just quick enoough for a strike of
directed elecricity to zoom past his hidden figure. the cloud appeared to rip
open and anouther of these monsters desecended upon the man. this dragon was
clad in wicked black and gold armor and atop it was what appeared to be a demon
his mask he wore seemed to resemble but only the bottom peice of a skull. the
rest of his body clad in heavy spined armor. his movements were much more fluent
and he was one step ahead of the other mans motions every time. Soon the man in
the cloack made a decension toward the lower air waves hoping to catch a
opposite current and slow the other beast and his pursuer. only to catch sight
of a beautiful young woman who appeared to take flight with ease. he had heard
storys of the legendary elves of the forest who had fallen fromt he stars hidden
among the clouds. He had never expected he would run itno one: however especialy
with his current postion.

His next movement was very irrational however he seen it as the only potential
way to avoid this womans life being saccrificed int he balance. the nation had
already irradicated many of this ancient race he would not be the cause of the
final phase. so he took a side wind and caught an odd wind aiming towards the
sea. the Red dragon of course pursued and a bolt of electircity soon struck the
less prepared dragons wing sending his decension on a wild course one that made
the pursuer stop and hover for a moment. as he fell the man couldnt help but
look to see the young elflet desecend upon the grassy ground then he shut his
eyes and landed with a loud boom. the dragon roared in pain its wign broken tail
smashed neck was barely able to move and the man limply rolled off to the side
laying there he opened his pretty amber eyes just with enough time his finger
twitched but he could not move. the smash sent a burst of energy throught e land
ina good miles radius. surely it would push against the young elf woman. he
could only pray she wouldnt come for him.

Once she had landed into the field she felt tension in the air. As she looked around her to find the source of it her eyes locked onto what seemed to be a dragon falling from the sky. Her brows lifted in a curious manor. What was a dragon doing out here and what has caused it to fall at such a fast rate? Her heart beat was picking up pace as she thought of whatever was killing this huge beast could be headed for her next. She was in clear sight, what was she thinking? Slowly she walked toward a patch of trees that wouldhide her better from what was possibly overhead. Keeping her pace slow so nothing would get any worry about her presence and jump to conclusions. Being alone in an area that was not known to her wasn't cleaved, but lately her thoughts have been distracted by the fact that her race has left her. It was her time to live on her own, make them proud, but how would she do that when they told her nothing and gave her no warnings of their movement.

Hearing the thud of the large beast far off made a soft sigh seep from her lips trying to keep her heart beat low and her thoughts relaxed. She was now under the trees and felt more relaxed now thinking everything seemed calm and that she was alone once again. Leaning on a tree she closed her eyes taking another soft sigh. Something was deferent in the air, pain, agony, someone needed her. She opened her eyes forgetting her fear of someone being out there that could harm her, she was determined to find this helpless creature. Quickly she ran put into the next field, unfolding her wings and pushing off the ground lifting high into the air to see the ground better. Her bright eyes scanned the area quickly. Just as quick as they scammed they locked onto the dragon. Maybe the beast took it's opponent down with it and they needed help. She soared over to it, looking all around the limp body till she saw a figure the looked to be a man. Flying over to him she gracefully landed beside him falling to her knees as her wings tucked behind her.

"Hello sir, my name is Chloe Naldice Lumar and I am here to help you." her voice was like no other as it softly echoed behind each word and fadin into the wind. It was soft and sweet almost like a lullaby. She kept a calm face, easy eyes, careful not to worry the man of anything causing him to go into shock. She was no doctor but knew enough to help him. The red silk ribbon that once was wrapped around her feet was now sliding slowly and lightly over the man's body from his toes to his head. Once it was over her head the pain of any injury he may have simmered down to a much easier pain to bare. She locked eyes with humans softly asked," Are you alright?" hoping he could respond.

The air ws heavy as if it were meant to suffocate him. His heart beated with
heavy thuds and he tried to catch enough of a breath to stay calm. his
exasperated huffs took over causing his mind to blur , his eyes to follow. he
choked a bit but just before he was at his breaking point rescued by the lgiht
that took the reapers pretty false form. His ers picke dup the most melodic
voice he had ever heard. his gold brilliant eyes looked up through a blurry mist
into the most pure eyes and face he had ever had pleasure to gaze upon. his pale
skin cold from the rush now filled with a warmth and his body numbed just in
time for him to hear her plea's. He only forced himsefl to nod his cloack hood
falling off his head to reveal his unkempt White hair. his lips were small but a
perfect line over all he was very handsome.

His body twitched but the pain was no longer the main issue more so a simple
calmed exhaustian. he rolled his head to see the crashed beast over to his side
he could feel its pained heart. and his hand as if in instinct clutched to his
own heart and his eyes widened as he heard the dragon lasr words. " i relinquish
our bonds in peace" a faded womans voice of wisdom drifted to the back of the
mans head and a tear fell from his eyes as he lay there motionless with out a
single word. He turned his head up to look upon the woman again now and it was
odd but with the relinquished bond he shook his head and sat up. revealing his
slightly tanned tho mostly albino body. he had a single cross tattoo upon his
chest and his body was slim but muscular. he had studed like spines on his back
though they hadnt formed to much yet.

Finally he made his lips move " thank.. you" he let the word fall limply no
passion driven behind it though he tried to sound thankful. The man got to hsi
feet dusting off the sand and dust from his white arabic pants. he looked around
and sniffed the air his eyes seemed to phase the eyes of a dragon replacing for
a moment he caught a black and white image of the land within a radius of 5
miles. then his eyes returned to normal. He turned to the woman knowing he hadnt
been the most polite " I.. am Kayis" taking a simple bow clutchign hsi heart in
a symbol of respect as she was a lady. though she was far much more. he had
hoped she wouldnt come here. it couldnt be helped anymore and the demon that
chased him from his own land seemed to have given up in a false security that he
was dead. he let his body straighten back up before his light voice resounded
once more. " what is your name milady?'

Seeing the man look over at the dragon she wondered what he might be thinking and what he had to do with the beast laying on the ground next to them. She looked over it as she felt an emptiness from it as it left it's body. Softly she sighed as she couldn't help but feeling sorry for the dragon. She looked back to the man and saw a small tear come from his eye not sure if it was from the pain or the dragon. Out of blue he stood to his feet and she stumbled back and stood to her feet as she picked up her red ribbon letting it slip through her fingers as it wrapped it's way down her body splitting in two to wrap around her feet again as shoes. Looking the man over again she kept a subtle look on her face slightly worried he would hurt her using a weakness as a trap to harm her, this was only her instinct to think the worst but not show it. He spoke in a very monotoned voice. She nodded softly to him slightly angered at the simple thank you. Who knows what would have happened if she hadn't of risked her life to fly out here in the open to wave a stranger. She was just about ready to leave the man where she met him until he said his name. Turning to him as he bowed she smiled softly and bowed her head to the man and lofted her head back up as he looked away seeming worried. Once he seemed calm again she lifted her chin standing tall as she said her name. "I am Chloe Naldice Lumar. May I ask what bring you here?"

The man rubbed his eyes as he listened to her resound melodic voice. he couldnt
beleive he had gained presence of the woman of the mighty wise elf culture. He
sighed then and shook his head in disbeleif as he reminsced on why he had come
so far from his homeland. " i have been running:" he looked up then, his eyes
pure. " For some reason i know not of the nation capital decided to attack my
home land of serasia, i lived in the capital estate of the desert land." he
stopped after that. his voice had gotten a tad deeper as he had recovered much
mroe from the injury and landing he had just sustained.

The man couldnt help but wonder at this point. With all this questioning by the
woman, where had she come from? in silence he took a seat planting his white
pants into the dirt below that seemed to be scorched by the energy of the crash
landing. he looked over to the lifeless magnificent creature next to them. "
rest in peace friend" he bowed his head to it. " if i may miss Chloe, why are
you so far from the forest said to have been sworn to the elves?" he looked
directly at her as his hand scattered around the place attempting to find his
satchel. He soon found the bronze sack and dug his hand inside pulling outwhat
appeared to be a blade hilt. it was decorated in wonderful bronze coils and at
either side of the cross guard were to wolves head crafted into the beauty. it
stemed from there into a beutiful ebony blade that only had a single golden rune
seenas it curved and then appeared to have snapped where th blade was broken.

He was sure this may be intimidating to the peaceful woman so he knew it would
be good to comfort her. So he did what he expected she would think he would
never do. " here hold it?" he smiled a tad handing the broken sword to her hilt
first. " this is me saying i have no intention of harming you miss" he smiled
and patted his head attempting to smoooth out his Wild White hair. Then he
waited for her to take the sword in hand.

Post  Chloe Naldice Lumar Wed Aug 31, 2011 8:09 pm

She listened to what brought him here. Her harsh eyes seemed subtle in respect of the man's story. It must be hard to know what has happened to your people, your home land. She new nothing and it pained her more than anything not to know where they were. She glanced away as she thought of her people, forgetting about being respectful for a few minutes as she took time to remember them while she still had them fresh on her mind. Closing her eyes for a few seconds longer than a blink she turned her head back to face the man as she spoke," Are...are your people alright?" she asked in the sweetest of ways afraid she might strike a chord that breaks the man into a sadness that was of the up most coldness.

As he sat to the ground a spoke to the lifeless beast she smiled softly. She felt more respect for him once he had spoke such sweet words to such a frightening beast that most would boast about it's death. She placed her hand gently on the dragons nest, saying nothing. She looked over into the dragons eye as she softly bowed her head in respect then lifted her head slowly as she removed her hand from the beast and listened to the question she hoped he wouldn't have asked. Sitting across from the man she let her wings hang from her back in relaxation. "If you must know, my people have left me. We have a ritual every 100 years that one child of the 100th century is chosen to leave and prove themselves as worthy to be one of the great leaders we have, standing by them in war. It is a great honor to be granted, Once I was born they believed that I was to be the chosen one and waking up today I have learned it is my time to go into the world and achieve such a title. They are still within the forests but I may not go back for another 100 years. " As she had told her story she kept her eye contact and tried not to have the sound of fear in her throat, being left in the world to do something so honorable with no advice was hard on her, but she was willing to do this. She was born ready to do this. Once she was done talking her gaze left to look at his blade.

Studying the piece she wondered if the fall caused it to snap, such a shame for beautiful art on the piece. Once he asked her to hold it she looked up at him questionable but put out her hands to hold onto the broken blade. Once he told her his reasoning she smiled and nodded to him and offered it back. "Thank you for that. Was this made for you or are you the maker of such beauty?" she said as her fingers lightly ran over the coils and the wolves. He was a curious man, not what she had expected to run across when rescuing someone, but she was pleased to have met him.

He honestly had no clue as to what had happened to his people. That day he had
been hunting soem of the wild caribou like creatures. the next moment as he was
returning he had seen his village on fire. he of course ran past the flames past
soldiers clad in black armor to his family. he met his mother and she handed him
a satchel and told him he had to go to the stone of rituals. he hadnt really
wanted to leave her but she explained it was of so much importance. then the
dragon had swept him up and carried him away the next thing he knew he was being
pursued by the Armored knight. his brain soon snapped back to the moment he was
actually in. " i honestly couldnt tell you" he sighed a bit thinking back on all
the events.

He heard her compliments on the masterpeice of metal and laughed. " honestly I
have only seen the sword in my fathers hands he never explained how it was
obtained i only know that he brought it every where he went. " he examined the
blade in hsi finger tips with curious wonder. " the one part i dont understand
is that when i got it in my satchel it was broken but my father always kept a
good hold on it so it doesnt add up" he shrugged off the wonder frothe moment
making simple wrist fkicks with the sword hilt. " you have quite the task of you
it would appear" he had retorted otu fo no where. " I think that you can handle
it i mean you were strong enough to make your way over to a dragon and his rider
in a time of dire need. " he aughed and smiled taking her hand gently in his own
without realizing. " I mean it takes soem serious bravery to approach a
dragon"

He the realized where hsi hands were and withdrew them quickly a shade of red
falling over his face slightly. he remebered tales of the dragons. The dragon
born those that lived to fly them and bond with them. they were the key stone to
many historical points. His father had always told him somthing. " dragons are
powerful son, as are their riders but there is nothing compared to the power the
bond they share" he didnt know why he remebered that but it had always made him
curious. The man now stood up wiping of the dust and debri he wrapped the tan
cloack around him once more " well now i dont exactly know what im going to do
the bastard that was chasing me apparently thinks that im dead, so i dont have
to worry much about that anymore" he laughed a bit teasing with a joke "
persistent bastards, the empire to chase a farm boy allt he wy from the desert
to..." he paused " umm where is here?"

Post  Chloe Naldice Lumar Wed Aug 31, 2011 8:17 pm

Watching for any change in emotions she waited for his answer to her question. It was obvious something big had happen, something he couldn't control otherwise he would be there where his people are. Once he spoke she looked away towards the way she had entered the fields thinking o her own people. How bad she wanted to turn back and be in her mothers arms again like a small helpless child. If she were to turn back now her family could be banned from the forest, that or her family would disown her and leave her just the same, alone trying to survive from what she has learned. If she turned back she wouldn't have the chance of returning and becoming a piece of history for her children to remember and be proud to say they have her name. Turning back now would mean no family, no history, no life to live, it was all heavy on her shoulders but she never showed it. "I am sorry to hear that, my people send their hopes."

She listened to the story of the blade and wondered the same thing he explained to her that he was curious about. "I'm sure this has many hidden tales and secrets that you will either find yourself or be told of in the future if you are so intrigued as to what it's past holds. Many swords, knifes and daggers all have a story and all have someone who can tell of them. I am always interested in stories behind them. I have heard tremendous stories told by the great Avariel warriors as a present of my chose destiny." She smiled thinking of all the tales and imaging what hers could be once she has returned, what all she will face. He spoke of her task and she chuckled softly as she nodded agreeing with it was quite the task. Once he mentioned her bravery of coming out to where she was she shook her head softly disagreeing with him." That was mearly nothing," feeling a hand over hers she paused and smiled glancing down at it then back up to the man as she couldn't help but smile more,"Any man in pain deserves a helping hand, it is only what is right. I would have helped your friend but it was to late for me to realize it was a friend and not an enemy, I am sorry for that." She glanced away slightly hanging her head.

Feeling the warmth of his hand leave hers she moved her other hand over the pot that his was place to warm it back to how he had it almost, it was a pleasant warmth, the cool air quickly took the warmth away. Listening to his lesson on dragons she glanced over at the one laying next to us smiling softly, they were fascinating creatures. Hearing that someone had been chasing her she softly sighed in relief that they didn't come for her next. Once he paused she looked up at him curiously wandering what he was hiding and if it was dangerous for her. She let it slip her mind for now but it was very strange. Looking around her to find the answer to his question she paused and cocked her head to the side. "I'm afraid I can't answer that question myself. I have had lots on my mind flying out here and haven't a clue where it's gotten me to." she chuckled softly.

Kayis laughed " so you were flying around aimlessly, that is the way to go haha"
he smiled at her " well i know i was flying east north east i beleive, so im
fairly sure the river i had seen when i was plumetting to my doom was the ezriac
river close to the city of vatus" he twirled the broken sword in his hand once
more and looked to her " so rom what i gather your rules say that you cna have
no aid from your people but it doesnt say anything bout travellign your quest
with a human" he smiled a bit and looked over into the disntant forest toward
the mountains in the far off distance. " i dont know where im going with my
journey but i feel that theres a reason the sword is broken in my possession i
think that will be my quest to find its story." he turned back to her and
offered his hand to help her up " no journey is fun alone however i think we
both can agree on that"

Kayis left his ofer open to her until she would take his hand and he would hoist
her up. " Vatus, father always told me if you search the city of vatus for
commerce follow the tip of the mountains always where the star of the hunters
arrow tip meets the mountain you will find Vatus" he smiled throwing up his hood
and puttign the sword back into his satchel he dug into it held out a very well
crafted arabic style bandanna its was a nice red color " here this will help us
to not attract attnetion , you can have it even if you dont accompany me" He
smiled and left the bandanna for her to grab thinking on the journey he had
started and her answer he began to slowly pace himself toward the edge of the
wilderness.

She laughed at his joke towards her aimless flying as she nodded. " I had just left my abandoned home in search of something to start off my journey in life. I think it took me to a rather exciting adventure I think you would agree." she smiled laughing softly. She had never ventured farther than the trees of her home land so she knew very little of the surrounding villages, towns, people, anything besides the tales she was told. Looking back over to the man as he glanced to her. Turning her head softly at his observation of their rules she smiled wondering what he had in mind for the two of them. Taking his hand she stood to his feet and stayed silent as she thought carefully of all the things he had been speaking of. She had been thinking the same thing when she took off from home, if she would find a companion to travel with, if she would find love before returning and being force to choose from the population in the Avariels. Shaking her head softly trying not to think of how horrible it all sounded she was ready to just take off on any adventure, the thought of not being alone was comforting to her.

She stood looking off at the mountains as he spoke of the city. Looking down at the bandana being offered she took it and held it before she wrapped it around her arm where she could make sure it stayed and wouldn't lose it. "Thank you" she said smiling after looking away from it to look up at him. he began to walk ahead of her and she tucked her wings in to wrap around her shoulders to comfort her almost like she was hugging herself, then tucked them away behind her back. Nodding to herself once he was a few feet ahead of her she began to follow him silently ready to take his offer on the journey that now lay ahead of them.

The sky was filling with a fog as they walked. the new night was upon them and
the trees surrounded their path. Kayis turned his face straight upwards to look
for the star he had been told would guide them. it was there shining bright
ahead just barely touching mountain tip int he far distance. " it sure isn't the
best traveling so far with out any horses or form of transportation." he laughed
at that point and smiled at the young woman. Soon the sky had completely filled
with a luminous night sky of brilliant shades of blue and purple. dipped in the
presence of stars. Kayis thought to himself, " i believe we will have to make
camp very soon for the night."

He then ran off a bit ahead taking in the surrounding area, he scouted escape
routes and the next way they would take to their destination. Then he found a
nice grove of grass. There were a few trees around it for rain cover, but it was
very perfect for resting. Kayis got to work on a fire in the middle of the grove
placing his cloak near the fire to warm it. He soon went and scouted some rocks
big enough to sit upon. using his mighty he heaved them into a cradled spot in
his arms and carried them so they both were near the fire. he stretched his back
then and continued preparing his body beading with sweat it fell off of him in
steady beads. He was a very attractive male his body seemed toned for its
structure and he was just slightly tall especially for the age he was.

Finally he took a seat ushering her to join him near the now smoldering fire. "
in the event we have to run from here fast please follow me at the heel k?" he
asked in a gentle tone he didn't hope to scare her: more so he wanted her to be
prepared. they were taking a heavy risk with the smoke. as time passed and they
sat there he waited for her to ask him anything, something to get to know him.
At that moment he was extremely shy he didn't really know how to approach the
situation but he figured something should be said. " umm are you cold?" he asked
casually and let his words linger.

Kayis laughed as well and there words caught each others again. " haha sorry
what were you asking?" he smiled hearing that she was cold he looked down to the
cloak that was now warmed up and he bent over and tossed it to her. " that
should definitely keep you warm" his fingers clutched to each other as he sat
there with her many moments without a word passed. " So how much do you know
about this world the empire and all?" he really wondered if she knew the cruelty
of the grand empire. he had seen first hand, even though he had no idea why they
had chosen such a poor nation. He truly wondered what had happened that day
after he had left. for now he would just simple listen to the air to her and
enjoy this moment avoid thoughts of what he might find returning home.

The Marshlands Empty Re: The Marshlands

As they walked she looked around taking in her surroundings, the feel of the area. Her wings were itching to fly but she couldn't care herself and the man while flying so she thought it was only fair that they both walk. Laughing softly at his words she nodded and sighed softly at the fact they had been walking so long. The silk ribbons protected her feet from any sharp rocks, twigs or stickers hat might try to poke at her feet but nothing would stop the ache anyone feels after walking for a long period of time. Seeing it was getting dark she smiled not watching where was walking but looking up at the sky, it was her favorite time of the day, when they sky showed the stars that she would grab for as a child thinking they were just out of her reach. Laughing to herself she mearly wanted to try grabbing at them again.

Hearing quick movement she looked ahead to see he ran ahead of her. Shrugging softly she stretched out her wings and got low to the ground. Once he was far ahead of her she sprinted as fast as she could and pushed off the ground pushing hard with her large wings. Soaring high up into the sky she closed her eyes once she was far into the sky and pulled her wings around her tight. Dropping to the ground, getting faster the closer she got till her wings sprang out just barely letting her run her fingers over the tips of the grass circling around in the sky a few more times. She loved to fly, the wind flowing all over her body, through her hair and feathers. The rush it gave her when dropping to the ground, the sights you could see that most people couldn't. It was remarkable.

Looking down she saw that Kayis was setting up a camp. She swooped back down a few feet away landing smoothly and gracefully. Tucking her wings back into her back she smiled as he ushered for her to join him around the fire. Walking towards him she heard him say to follow him if in danger and she knew they were out in the open and anything could happen but she didn't let it get to her she simply nodded and sat next to him, close to the fire. The silence sat for a minute before she spoke, intruding on his words. "Are you al..." she chuckled softly as she stopped and apologized for interrupting him," I"m sorry didn't mean to interrupt you. I am a little cold, but I am sure the fire will warm me." Smiling she looked to the fire rubbing her arms softly to get some extra heat.

The Marshlands Empty Re: The Marshlands

Kayis sighed to himself hearing her question but didn't let it really hit home.
" i was raised to live with my mother and father. My father was a great
swordsman that enjoyed dueling and taught me a bit on swords play myself. he was
a strong man, that Saccuro." he let the word fall loosely before the topic had
changed. he watched how she nestled to his cloak. he was happy that he could
help her in that way. He wasn't surprised that she knew so little of the empire.
in many ways it was a blessing to the girl to be naive to this horrid world. "
Honestly the Empire is ruled by a power crazed man. he has sacrificed lives and
established his rules to fit his kingdom best, races have been hunted and now
lay dormant in hiding or extinct. cities wiped out for defying him. its said one
of his four generals is a Dragon Born." he stalled at that thought thinking back
to the man who rode the Black armored dragon and had pursued him. " they are
very well known for their combat prowess not being human or elf or dwarf or any
of it they are race we cant begin to understand. it is said that is the power of
the empire, and the king still hunts more dragon borns that will turn to serve
his will." he sighed then waiting for her to say something.

She laughed as they kept catching each other on their words. After catching the cloak and wrapping it around her started to ask again. "Were you alone where you were?" she paused and shook her head thinking it sounded strange the way she worded it," I mean did you live with your parents or friends?" She looked over at him as she waited for his answer, her glass like eyes like a reflection of the flames. Once he asked her about how much she knew she looked away, feeling dumb saying it,"I know nothing honestly. I was only told of tales when I was a young child and barely remember them. As I got older I was always being taught on how to live on the outside world not what was happening in it." She brought her knees close to her chest then looked up at the stars in the sky as she let the silence setting only for a few seconds. "Is there something I should know about it?" the question grew in her head as all her thoughts did, expanding into different branches of worry, preparation of what was about to happen and anything else she would manage to think of.

She listened silently as he talked about his father then looked up at him as the pause settled in the air before he changed the subject. It was obvious he loved his father. Looking away into the fire her face was calm and quiet like she wasn't even there as she thought to herself while he spoke. Thinking of what she knew of her father. He was once chosen to do what she is now doing but never returned to their home. He is the reason they started training us harder and being more strict during the training so we don't lose our way or be taken prisoner or any of the many things that could have happened to him. Her pointed ear softly twitched once she heard they are like no other. One of the reasons she was afraid to leave was that she didn't know what she would have to face out here. Would she have to face one of them? Would she vanish too without a family back home to carry on her name?...He stopped talking and she sighed softly before asking her next question," Were you running from one of them?" she glanced over to him with a look of worry in her eye, the first time she had ever shown any fear to another person in her life.

Kayis could tell he was worrying her he hadn't intended to but she had asked. he
had gotten a bit carried away in the conversation. he sighed slightly thinking
of the gruesome sky battle he had endured by this stranger that pursued him. " I
really could not tell you the man that chased me was clad int he armor of the
empire and the beast he mounted was most definitely a dragon clad in its own
armor. he was so skillful in the way he rode after me if it weren't for the
dragon i was with i would have died." he smiled then to warm the atmosphere
about them " Luckily he thinks I'm dead from that crash so he wont be bothering
with me anymore as long as i remain hidden from the empire." He couldn't
understand such a persistent pursuer perhaps they had mistaken him for one of
the dragon born. maybe that was why he wouldn't give up for days. T he thought
made his stomach crawl as he realized just how little sleep he had received
since the trip. " well i suppose we should prolly settle in for some sleep eh?"
at that he stood up and cut off the fire by flapping a cloth at it to loosen its
fueling. then turned from her and began to take off his white pants and the
under garment his rear was exposed by the slowly dimming fire light and he
stretched exposing his abs. then turned to face her completely nude " good night
may the stars watch us"

She relaxed hearing that he thought that he was dead and wouldn't be looking for him anymore. She smiled softly and looked into the fire one last time. Her mind slowly started to relax as the night grew heavier. Smiling again hearing the word sleep. "Sleep sounds amazing right now" she chuckled softly and stood to her feet as he put out the fire and stretched her arms over her head as her wings reached out as far as they could also stretching. As she did this the red ribbon shoes loosened slowly sliding under her clothes where you couldn't see them any more till she slipped out of her white silk down, the ribbons were not wrapped around here where nothing to private would show to much at least. Stepping out of her gown she smiled over at him as he said his goodnight. "And may the sun rise in the morning," she said after his goodnight. Laughing softly she turned her back to him, found a soft spot in the grass and laid down letting her wings cradle her gently as she closed her eyes.

Waking up she sat up looking around rubbing her eyes as she looked around for her traveling companion. Seeing he wasn't near by she stood up and let the ribbons slide over her skin and over to her silk dress. Standing fully nude in the day light she smiled and looked around at the land taking it all in before getting dressed and running her fingers through her hair as a comb. She wasn't to much a morning bird but tried to wake up by walking around the area, not wandering far from the camp they set up. She started to hum and walk in the pace of the hum as she got farther away. She looked over her shoulder to see if her companion had returned to the sight before slipping into the small patch of trees that was close by.
