The Economic City of Vatus Empty The Economic City of Vatus

Vatus is a bustling city, very well known for slave trade. It is a city that has literally anything you may want to buy. Merchants are known to travel in and out of the city, passing their goods to any traveler. This is also a primary place for thieves, and other sell-swords and mercenaries. The city has semi-tall buildings with a very large market area; the center has a large statue of the King on a horse. This is also a place where stages are used for theatrical performances. As well, there is a well known area for Gypsies to congregate. Vatus is located right along the border of Tarius and Galliel Country.

The Economic City of Vatus Empty Entering Vatus

Post  Kayis Wed Aug 31, 2011 8:41 pm

Kayis soon returned to the camp to notice that she was awake now. " well hello,
you wanna get on our way or wait for a bit?" he asked though he knew what she
would respond. and he grabbed hsi cloak wrapping it around his body and the
satchel. then took of at a simple pace observing the forest it seemed to go in a
repetitive cycle as they walked for what seemed like hours before the bush
ended. they were now in a field next to a main road way. " this is the Main road
to Vatus, we are close" he smiled and took her hand walking with her toward the
foundation ahead of them. massive wall stood in their direction soldiers moved
atop of it. " this is a city of commerce i believe that i may find some
information on this sword here" he whispered as they neared the front gate.

They neared it and the insignia of the Black dragon on the shields of the
soldiers stuck out to kayis eyes. he had seen the same insignia the night of the
attack and it made his blood boil a bit. He knew if he flipped though it would
be the end of them for sure . Calmly he approached the guard who controlled the
gate. many others were there with there carriages and trade supplies. " hello
sir we wish gain entry to the legendary city of gold Vatus" kayis said calmly
his face hidden under the cloak. it didn't look suspicious most the travelers
were dressed this way. the guard nodded " have a good stay sir and your lovely
lady as well" kayis blushed a tad at the guards comment but shook it off keeping
tight hold on her hand he lead her into the fortress.

Once inside the bustling of the city took no haul in there presence. auctions
shouted top of their lungs as big crowds gathered int he square. but what caught
his eye was much more painful as a young pale woman was put out for the men to
see her body in the most provocative clothing kayis eyes widened as he realized
and his hand fell from hers laying limply as he looked upon the woman. a woman
he would surely recognize... " my sister" he murmured.

She smiled at him as he approached the camp," Ready when you are." as he grabbed his things she picked up her red ribbons and they wrapped themselves around her body, wrapped around her in a fashionable way. Looking down at her feet she shrugged thinking she would be fine for the walk, it want that far off and she was light on her feet so if anything were to poke at her feet it wouldn't bring any harm. looking over to make sure he was ready she smiled and began to walk just ahead of him till he caught up with her. Her pace was a quick steady one eager to get to their destination until a few hours into the walk when her muscles remembered they had walked just as much yesterday. Once he broke the silence they were at a main road. Her energy came back again then she felt his hand in hers. She smiled as they continued to walk then glanced down at their hands. It was nice having a hand to hold. Hearing that we might find something out about the sword she softly squeezed his hand happy for his sake that we might find something about it.

Nearing everything made her have mixed emotions. Some it was her first time being in a city she didn't know what to expect from it all. What would she hear, smell, see, feel? Would it be just as boring as walking through the field or would it be dangerous or exciting even, she had no clue. He talked to a guard who would let us in. She kept her eyes away from the man as she was told from her trainers that if you were to look into the eyes of a soldier he would suspect the worst. She smiled chuckling softly at his comment about me. "Thank you" she said just loud enough for him to hear as they entered into the city he eyes wandering the walls and the streets holding onto his hand tight to make sure she didn't lose him from not paying any attention as to where she was headed.

" Wow this is amazing, such beautiful colors all around us." she said as they made their way through the crowds. Smiling at all the people they looked her way, listening to all the sounds. "Isn't this great?" she asked as she felt his hand drop from hers."Kayis?" she turned to look at him and stopped her smiling as she saw the look on his face and heard the words my sister. She turned to see where he was looking. Locking eyes on a woman with such provocative clothes on it made her blush and gasp turning her head to look away. Wondering what he would do she touched his arm softly," would you like me to leave you alone to talk to her?" she kept her eyes away from the woman and kept them on the ground in front of the two of them feeling horrible that he had to find his sister this way.

Kayis didn't know exactly how to react to what he was seeing. HIs sister was put
up on a pedestal for greedy minds to think of her in whatever way they pleased.
the guards were surrounding her and they spoke up loud " so which of you lucky
fellas is going to take this bitch home to entertain you?" Kayis eyes darkened
as he slightly took a look down to the ground his white hair falling over his
eyes to shadow them even more. his fist shook with frustration. Soon a black
shadow like wisp came from his arm and it sounded as if his arm was burning. his
fist clenched and he finally looked up his eyes had an eerie glow about them. "
you will all die" his voice was cold, and held no symbol of emotion.

Slowly he paced himself up to the back of the crowd like a walk of a zombie. He
wouldn't hear any words attempting to approach him. the sky was speeding in his
mind and he was clouded with unexplainable anger. A voice resounded in his head,
" Kayis you cant, you will endanger everything ." the voice was comforting but
it was hardly reaching him The dragons spirit in him was strong but there had to
be some pull from the outside that would stop him at this point the energy
radiating from his body it was as if a blue shadowy mist had come from his body
and his teeth had extended by this point as he drew a dagger and continued his
mad little stroll toward the guards around his sister. they continued to taunt
but it appeared there were no buyers. " going once going twice," fine then since
none of you will take this lovely merchandise let us sacrifice her to our
emperor." The next moment the guard nodded, and a blade ran across the woman's
throat blood falling to the stage. Kayis stopped in his tracks his eyes wide the
blade clanged on the ground as he stared in traumatic awe.

Chloe looked up at Kayis when he didn't answer and touched his arm gently. When he looked down she stepped back knowing he wasn't happy, she wouldn't want to get in his way and end up hurting herself. Watching as he grew into this scary mad man she softly said his name,"Kayis..." nothing, he kept walking making her heart race. As he walked up to guards she cringed hoping they would not react to his anger causing a scene. Looking up at the woman who stood up in front of all the men, nearly bare. She started walking behind him. Shaking her head softly she spoke in ancient tongue, a chant that would calm her down in what would soon turn into a grueling sight. She hated the men around this poor woman, she hated how the woman was dressed, the town, the pain in her gut that made her want to scream from the anger that built in her for being so cruel to a woman. Men disgusted her daily, she was angry at them all.

Once he got close enough a blade was drawn, stopping in her tracks she gasped shaking her head."NOOO!" she yelled out and suddenly a slide was made across the woman's neck. Running to her, no matter what the guards did she took the ribbon off of her and wrapped it gently over the wound. Her eyes burned with tears of anger. It didn't matter that she didn't know this woman, all that mattered what a helpless life had died before her. Not daring to look over at Kayis she looked up at the guards as she held the ribbon against her neck,"How dare you! What are you, savages? Have you no shame?" tears streamed down her face. She could kill with the anger in her, but all she cared about was trying to save a life that didn't need to be taken.

The next moment Kayis heard his woman companion scream out in anger. He looked
to her as she ran and in that sudden moment the reality of the situation hit
home. He turned to run after her but it was close to too late by this point the
guards had their spears pointed at her. and were jabbing at her to impale her on
the spot. They were ruthless. heartless creatures with no soul. He wanted to
shut his eyes and hope it was but a dream. Her bravery inspired him some how
though and he charged after her right as she finished her little speech his
shoulder nailed into one of the soldiers knocking him over the spear tumbled to
the ground. Kayis rolled grabbing the spear in his despair and turning to defend
a piercing strike aimed for his ribs. he growled with anger. turning the spear
in a single quick fluent movement the butt of the spear smack the guards helm
off and knocked him to the ground.

Kayis knew she would feel horrible that she couldn't save the woman, but there
was no way she could expect to make it past all those guards. He growled again
as he spun the spears shaft around his body to bluntly damage another soldiers
rib cage and make him rear over in time for kayis shin to connect with his face.
The crowd had quickly dispersed while some had remained to watch this show of
madness. Kayis was moving like a demon without realizing he was moving that way
it was almost instinct the grace of his movements. The horn sounded and and more
guards charged in and others with cross bows lined the walls one of the men
attempted to load his cross bow. in a quick motion kayis stepped forward
launching his spear in a perfect motion the guard with the cross bow was impaled
by the spear to the wall of the rooks.. kayis roared as he charged the other
soldiers drawing the dagger he blocked the first pierce toward his heart
pivoting the blade around he off shot the spears attack quick enough to punch
the guard square in the chin and knock him off the stage. he hadn't payed
attention to what she was doing he knew it was already too late for his sister,
though honestly he didn't know anything at this point.

His eyes blazed in a glowing shade of gold and then the next guard came upon him in a simple movement kayis ducked in and stabbed under the chest plate straight into the lungs to puncture them the man gasped for air and fell to his knees, kayis followed drilling his fist continuously into the mans skull " die you bastard, die die die
die damn it Die!!!' his fist kept punching until the guard head limply bobbled
the other guards stopped at this point looking at him in fear as he still
continued to pound his fist into the mans skull. The crowds people were silent
all was silent except for kayis screams of anger and the sound of cracking bones
with each punch

She yelled at the jabs to her and felt the warmth leaving the woman. The cut was to deep shaking her head she yelled louder standing to her feet and whipping the ribbons out to the guards. Once it slide across them it made a sizzling, burning sound as it melted through each guards armor till it burned across their skin making them scream in pain. She watched as her companion fought against the guards. She ran and jumped into the air flying over him once he started to beat a man's head in. She landed before the guards with a bright blue glaze over her eyes with the ribbons gripped tight in her hands. As they stood back she looked over her shoulder at kayis. "we maut go Kayis." looking back to the men who stood back she told them," we will leave and you WILL not follow." she knew they would not listen but she was sure they would at least keep distance. Walking back to his lifeless sister she picked took a flag off a pole near by that the city had up all around and covered the body. Lifting up gently she began to walk away even if he was not following.

The Economic City of Vatus Empty Entering the Secret Underground Vatus

Kayis noticed her approach him but his blind rage almost couldn't be satisfied.
HIs fist was hurting but he could hardly feel it. His eyes finally started to
soften as more guards began to layer in. Whispers could be heard as his eyes
changed back. " Dragon Born" was what stuck out to him most of all as his blood
hand clutched at his face he got up from his spot looking down with horrified
eyes at the mans brutalized skull brains hanging out of the wound. He followed
his elven friends back toward the forest. He was mostly quiet he knew his sister
couldn't be saved, he also knew they would not heed the warning of not
following. The dragon he had met his trip here would surely follow him again
soon enough. Though as they attempted to make their way out of the city a man
with a cloak beckoned them to follow him unto an abandoned building. kayis knew
the guards were hot on their trail and he was still struggling with the fact
that he was a killer.

As they sat in the dark path the man followed to a wooden floor and lifted a
small trap door leading them down into a cavern that thad the sound of rushing
water in its hollow walls. His eyes adjusted fairly well and he soon entered a
lighted room the man held his hand up. " auk evour unai" the man who had a mask
in front of them opened the door with wide eyes and before them a group of
people draped in cloaks sat at a rectangular table they all had a black bladed
blade placed on the table and stared at the at the new entrants. The council
people then bowed as the man nodded to them He directed us to a set of chairs at
the end of the table " please Auk Evour Unai, sit, also milady" he bowed and
took his own seat laying an emerald bladed sword on the table. Kayis looked over
to the woman he had travelled with. " umm do you have any idea what they are
saying with that native tongue?" he asked in only a whisper. he had a feeling he
had stumbled onto far more of an adventure than he had bargained for.

She followed the man who waved them on, it was clear on her face that she was angry, for many reasons. Keeping her mouth shut until she would be able to voice out loud where only she could hear. Holding the lifeless body of what was her companions sister tight to her with the flag draped over the top of her. Climbing down into the small trapped door she slowly entered, very timid at this point from all the chaos around them. She looked each man in the eye, the man at the door, the people in cloaks, it all was a threat to her. When they were being led to a table she gently placed the girl away from everyone, gentle on the ground. she ran her hand gently over the woman's head before she stood to her feet and joined her companion at the table.

He asked if she knew what they were saying. She had heard the language before but never learned it. As she sat down she softly whispered,"All I know is the mean to harm." her voice was tense, and so were her movement. She looked up at the men surrounding the table and softly smiled at them kindly asking,"May I ask why you have brought us here?" After saying this in english she repeated it in her native tongue hoping they might understand her if they didn't catch her english. Waiting patiently for their reply she looked over to Kayis. She was happy she had gone on this journey with him, otherwise who knows what would have happened to him by now if she hadn't been there to help him. She didn't do much but she hoped it was enough. Looking away as she felt the sting of tears back in her eyes as she thought about it all.

Kayis was still dwelling in a whirlwind of emotion. His eyes were heavy, he was
exhausted in every manner. Still he couldn't cry. His face tightened up as he
let out a nice breath and listened to the mens chattering whispers. " A dragon
born is among the people. will he cooperate?" they were fast at work in their
own divine network of conversation. Kayis turned to look at his sisters lifeless
body. He could only shake his head at that point. Then one of the elders heard
chloe take the time to speak. " You travel with the dragon born, he defies the
empire. it has been nearly a decade since a dragon born was for the people." he
bowed to her. " well will clothe you in the best we have and you will feast as
we do and we shall explain more of the situation" his voice was calm strong, it
was the voice of a leader. " for now you two younglings should go get cleaned up
and take a rest, we have few rooms and even fewer beds. Though i'm sure you two
will be fine in one bed." he smiled and the others pounded there fists on the
table shouting in recognition.

Kayis turned to her and held out his hand taking hers in his. he hadn't
completely understood everything that was going on but he was trying to adjust
to the predicament. As a woman came in and bowed she asked them " please follow
me Aukevour, misellius" she bowed to each of them and then led them down a
lighted path. This interworking tunnel was amazing how well they had dug out
there little burrow underneath the mass o the great city Vatus. He followed
until the woman left them alone in a quaint little room with a large bed in the
corner. piles of spears and swords lay in another corner, and the walls were
cobble: very well crafted. Kayis threw off his cloak hanging it on a hook he
turned to face her " i am sorry for everything." he sighed and looked down with
shame. The people had told them they would prepare his sister for a proper
burial, which brought him to ease as he sat down on the bed thinking for a
moment. It didn't take long before despite his half way naked disposer he
embraced her holding the back of her head and hugging her as he stroked through
her hair. " thank you" he whispered.

She listened to their words, she noted that the people knew of his kind. They seemed to respect him for that. She was happy they had a break from the harsh world for at least a night. Once they spoke to her she lightly smiled again and bowed her head to the man who bowed to her."We appreciate your hospitality, I am sure he would thank you as well if it wasn't for the shock of his loss today." she looked over at him once more after speaking it out loud for the first time. She didn't let the joke faze her, she would have laughed, but now was not the time. Looking back to all the men she said,"Thank you for everything."

She saw him put out his hand and she gently put her hand in his and stood up bowing her head softly to everyone and followed the woman to their room. Looking around at all the walls she wondered what the night would hold, emotionally, physically, and mentally. It all was heavy on their shoulders. Once they reached the room she lightly squeezed his hand then let go to turn to the woman and thank her. Once she left she closed the door and stood in front of the door to take a moment to take a breath. Hearing his apology she turned shaking her head,"Please don't apologize for something you had no part of stirring up. No one can apologize for what they did today." As he sat on the bed she looked down not having the words to speak. Feeling his embrace she closed her eyes softly as she leaned her head into his shoulder and wrapped her arms around him. After his thank you she softly spoke,"No journey is fun alone." thinking back to the words he said before they left on this journey. She smiled softly and loosened her arms leaning back to show him that she was smiling and that she was alright.

Kayis Held her for a moment. It was nice to hold her flesh to flesh, the warmth
of their bodies a comforting embrace. Looking at her still smiling through
everything made him think about it more. He couldn't understand why these people
kept mentioning the Dragon Born. " i really don't get it, why are they talking
as if a dragon born has just come to them." he spoke a little louder than he
thought he was. but at the moment he didn't care. he lay back fiddling with the
satchel he pulled out the blade. Closely he examined it sighing at a loss of
understanding. " the dragon borns, they are what is both the greatest fear of
this world, and their only hope. how pathetic can you be, really?" he sighed
turning to face her. " you can have the bed Lady Chloe" he smiled and grabbed
only one of the blankets folding it out on the stone floor beneath the bed he
clutched his dagger tight to his chest. and lay there without shutting his eyes.
listening to her and wondering if she would talk to him.

It was nice to be held by someone, she hadn't been held since she was so much younger. Once he began talking she pulled away and blushed softly when she felt the tug of her red ribbon wrapped around them both. She laughed softly as she looked down at it and it slipped away from her and wrapped itself around Kayis as she walked to the side of the bed he hadn't been to. As he thought out loud she ran her fingers through her hair with her back to him. Her face was so emotionless it might scare him. She had so much on her mind that she didn't know what to think of in that moment. Closing her eyes as the silence was in the room for a moment she took in a breath and let it out. Her thoughts were cleared for now. Turning her head softly to look over at him as he offered the bed to her she shook her head softly smiling,"Please don't be silly. It's a big bed, I'm sure we can both stay on it without disturbing each other. She patted the bed softly where there was room for him.

Standing up she slipped out of her silk dress and wrapped her wings around her, so he wouldn't be uncomfortable with her showing anything. Sliding under the sheets she pulled them over her chest and let her wings relax. They had been wanting to stretch out, but ti was to late for that now, she was comfortable now. Nuzzling her head into the pillow rolling to her side, facing the middle she closed her eyes shutting out the world. It would be a wrestles night for her, but she didn't want to worry him. After a few moments she opened her eyes to look over at him and softly asked,"Where will we go from here?" it was a complicated answer, she knew that, but she was curious on how he would answer her question.

Kayis had just been laying there, his eyes were heavy but there would be no
sleep this night. He heard her gesture him to join her on the bed. His mind
didn't really know what to think of it. especially with her next question. "
where are we going from here?" did she intend to go steady with him in such a
short time? The funny thing about it was he really didn't mind the thought of
it, but was afraid to be wrong. He let the question in his head drop for the
moment. THough as he tried he couldn't because how was he supposed to answer
that question. Slowly he moved himself to lay on her opposite side of the bed he
didn't really mind about clergy and nudity. stripping down to his bare skin he
crawled under the blankets. that they now shared. The cavern like area was cold
no matter how much blanket they had, damp and wet. It almost tempted him to
unintentionally move closer to her. His body reacted in kind moving a slight bit
closer to her so that only a foot was between the two of them. " honestly umm
I'm not really sure what exactly what you mean so ill answer both ways. Umm i
don't know where to go from here, i have no leads yet maybe ill know more when
we speak with the elders tomorrow." he stalled for a moment blushing as he let
out the next part kind of blurt out his back turned to her to hide from anymore
embarrassment. " I find you a very beautiful woman, iv thought that since i
first met you and in time i could see us as something... together, but i feel we
may wanna just get to know each other and travel together a bit more first ...."
he stalled.. " right?" he didn't know if it was the right thing to say but it
was said and now he only hoped he didn't look like a complete idiot to her.

As she waited for his answer she pulled the covers tight against her and one wing over her body to warm her better. She kept her eyes averted from his so he wouldn't feel any pressure him to answer it a certain way. She didn't eve know what exactly what she meant. She didn't know if the chaos of the day would make them have to go on their separate journeys or if they would be come good friends or something much more. It had only been at least two days of knowing each other, surely it wasn't anything to serious though she wouldn't be surprised. Once he laid in front of her she stopped thinking so hard about it all and looked at the lightly light figure of Kayis. He was a handsome man, very strong and seemed to be a very caring man at that. She smiled softly at the closeness of the two and closed her eyes. As he spoke she just listened, taking note of it and staying quiet. Until he turned away and talked about her. Blinking her eyes open again she waited for him to finish, slightly shocked. No one had ever told her of her beauty but her mother. IT was sweet of him. Letting it sit in the air for a few short seconds before she said,"You are a handsome man Kayis, you also have a long road ahead of you, I wouldn't want to distract you from that, but yes you are right." She paused one last time."You should rest for tomorrow, sleep well." She closed her eyes and laid silently wit her eyes silently looking at his back.

Kayis turned to her after listening to her. She was worried about distracting
him. if only she knew he was sure something was about to happen where she would
be placed in danger. He didn't want that for her, but for some reason the only
possible answer to everything was right in front of his eyes. " chloe? how
exactly was i during that last battle? i cant remember any of it." he really
couldn't all he realized was a man was laying brutally dead at his feet when he
came to. He was sad that he had to remind her about it but something he had done
had saved them, he couldn't think of it though, " am i the Dragon born?" he
questioned, it seemed almost improbable he was far too weak not noble at all why
would he be a dragon born the legendary soldier of the Empire. Though this
conclusion explained everything to him. It explain why he had been chased so
persistently, why the dragon flew him, why he had somehow saved the day for them
earlier, and why these people were more or less worshipping him. " chloe i don't
see myself sleeping tonight, are you going to stick with me on this till the
end?" he wondered it was more of a desperate plea, however it needed to be said.
His eyes looked directly into her as he lay snuggled int he blankets just
staring into hers with a quaint smile.

The Economic City of Vatus Empty Re: The Economic City of Vatus

When he asked his question she looked up at him not sure if she should tell him the truth. It was scary how violent he was with the man he took his anger out on. She looked into his eyes and sighed softly before speaking."You weren't yourself. You...you smashed a man's head in with your hands. I honestly believe it wasn't fully you like you couldn't control yourself. It was scary." she said as honest as she thought she should be. Thinking back to it that's all she could remember or at least all she saw since she was trying to protect herself since he was busy. She said still but looks away trying not show what she was thinking. After a few minutes of silence she hear him ask another question not sure if he wanted an answer or not she looked up at him." it all adds up doesn't it? I don't know what the signs are of being one but from what I know and have seen I don't think we would be here right now if you weren't." she smiled softly at him and shivered softly from a chill that ran down her spine. Hearing his last question she looked at him slightly surprised as of it wasn't obvious. "Even if I were asked to not follow you on your journey anymore I'd still be there I hope you know that. An elfs dedication is life or death besides I owe you it to you." as she spoke the last part her hand lightly touched his shoulder and smiled at him.

He turned to her and hugged her again forgetting about the nudity for the
moment. Truly it didn't matter. " i'm glad i met you, i don't know exactly what
is going to be expected of me or what sort of danger we have found our selves.
as long as were together though lets make a promise. we will be ok and live
through this long enough to have an answer for each other about our one other
question, ok?" he smiled and kept her close his eyes finally feeling almost
heavy enough to fall asleep he lay there with her and again stoked through her
hair. as his eyes began to shut and finally he found a peace of mind. and
restful night.

( Dream)
Kayis was wandering in a darkened shadow whispers of nothings taunts that were
unheard to any but the presence of the voices remained. he was walking moving at
a quickened pace toward the remnant of what seemed to be a castle. suddenly a
flash of his sisters bleeding lifeless body entered his mind. and as he
continued past the horrid time he walked further in to see a man beating on a
young man with nothing but his bare fist and a demonic cackle. He turned and
looked at kayis with an evil grins and shining golden eyes the face of a
demon.... ( END)

Kayis jumped up at that moment rubbing his forehead and looking around he turned
and let his feet hang on the out side of the bed just holding his face as he sat
in deep thought.

When he moved to hug her she moved her wing and scooted close to him hugging him back. She smiled at all that he said and softly said," I promise." as she nodded softly pulling away slightly enough to where they both could lay their heads down. Relaxing and letting everything slip away as her eyes grew heavy after his. As she closed her eyes she had a flash of her father making her gasp softly. She blinked a few times afraid to close them again. She slowly closed them again and saw her dad in pain yelling loud making her cringe. Her father was the strongest and most successful man she had ever met and hadn't seen him ever yet she knew it was him. Her mother only told stories of him but the elf who was chosen before my father told me everything about him such glorious stories. Why was she seeing him now? Was he alive? Was he reaching out to her or was someone just trying to get in her head.

Time had past and Kayis was fast asleep. She slowly slipped away as her red ribbons found their way to where she once laid. Walking to the front of the bed she sat down on the floor where he couldn't see her. Pulling her knees to her chest as her wings wrapped around her as she cried trying to stay quiet and not wake him up but once she heard him make some noise she stopped her tears but stayed in her tight little ball on the floor hoping he would fall back to sleep.

Post  Kayis Wed Aug 31, 2011 9:31 pm

As Kayis shot up from his dream, he looked down noticing how she was curled in a
ball crying. He didn't wish to disturb her in this time or make her embarrassed.
he sighed just a bit and watched her. It had to be hard for her being so far
from home with no one but himself. He figured he was good company but it would
be hard for any one who was different as her. Though it wouldn't be long until
they would understand much more, he could see the sun rising through the crack
in the stone. People soon were hurrying about thorough the city. It seemed they
hadn't been to affected by the events form yesterday. It was sick really they
could slit a woman's throat int he middle of the square and there was no hassle
but when the guards were brutally murdered the world fell to ribbons. Her
hoisted himself off the bed and slowly went to her. after grabbing a set of
under wear for himself. " come now its time, Wakey wakey" he smiled and
playfully poked at her a bit. Just in time for the Maid lady whom had helped
them the day prior to knock on the door " excuse me sir Mrs. the council is
ready for you, i have brought your clothes" kayis shouted back to her " set them
outside please we will get dressed shortly and be on our way" she responded with
a simple " yes sir" and was on her way.

Kayis opened the door a peak and snatched the clothes walking to her he handed
her a pair of underwear and a dress with a garnet colored cloak. he had his own
nobles shit and tunic that hung slightly over his crotch. and but a symbol was
on the tunic with a dragon quarreling and conquering two other dragons. He threw
it on, and tossed his own red cloak about his shoulders he fastened hsi dagger
to the belt and grabbed the satchel to fasten it as well. finally after all was
set he shook his hair from his eyes, and took a look int he mirror " not bad i
must say" he smiled before turning to her. " shall we then?" taking her hand he
led her down the long corridor they had travelled before. until they came to the
door where they had met the council before.

Kayis slowly creaked open the door and the blustering of voices was heard as
well as cheers. He looked in side and in the middle of the councils now round
table two men stood staring intently at each other. One of them was a man in
heavy silver armor he wielded a shield and a hammer. the other held to curved
swords and seemed to be almost snake like with his body. the two clashed again
and the clang of metal rung through the hall. the shield protected against the
blades and then the man with duel wielded swords made his flaw singing both
swords at once attempting to cleave the man, he tilted his shield perfectly
diagonally that it blocked both swords and his mighty hammer swung around to
beckon the sound of cracking bones. The man held his ribs in pain and tumbled
over " fuck.. hol.. oww" he shouted and one of the maids ran into help him up.
The council rang with Cheers as they looked to see the two of them had entered
the room. " what perfect timing Aukehvour, please meet your new guardian Harot"
the man with the hammer bowed before he sheathed his weapon and placed his
shield on his back. " it will be a pleasure to serve you Dragon Born" Kayis
nodded back to him, he didn't really know how to take everything that was going
on. The council now rang with cheers as two women stepped into the arena one had
a smug smile about her and held a book in her hand and a staff on her back. she
had black hair and a witches hat on she soon flipped to a page in her book and
smiled grimly at her opponent. ( enter Maos Entrance and description) ====>

The Economic City of Vatus Empty Re: The Economic City of Vatus

"Time again, I suppose.." It was normal for the council to train its councilmen frequently in form of magical brawls, but it seemed lately the frequency of such spars had increased; a fact Mao was rather bored of, it seemed. Her partner this time was a rather well known mage among the ranks, she supposed; there were so many, the faces blurred for her at times. When she looked out upon the room of men and woman, all she seemed to see beneath the plum haze of contacts were a crowd of black and white figures, none substantial enough to stand out. It'd been a whispered rumor as of late that a new 'dragon born' was among them, a fact most of her councilmen were ecstatic about. Personally, he was a simple figurehead; bothersome at that, as she was being pushed into extending her magic even more so in his presence. This whole meeting was for the man she didn't care to know, and so when Mao heard the voices of her comrades rise in acknowledgement to their presence, she simply drew her attention more closely to the thin lace threaded between her fingertips, eyes dipped under the ivory fringe of hair atop her head. 'Yes, it is time again...' With a few more threads of the string, her burlesque figure lifted from the seat cast far off in isolation from the others in the room, converse-clad feet dancing herself over the floor toward the arena.

"Bam ratatata, tatatatata~" Quietly she hummed along to the song within her head, a tiny smirk tugging faintly at the edges of her lips. She almost felt like dancing in place, the threads within her fingertips forming figures and symbols that cast magic to enhance the forces of mana within her. Like shots of sugared adrenalin through her veins, the magic pulsed, surged, throbbed through her fingertips. Once satisfied with the enhancement, she secured the red lace around her neck much like a collar, the band of bunny ears atop her head bouncing slightly as her head bobbed back and forth to a rhythmic beat; locks masking her vivid, violet eyes from sight as she smiled pleasantly toward her opponent. 'God, her apparel alone kills me so effortlessly~' Fingertips dancing at her sides, the smirk tugged once more at the cherry red lips, cheeks dimpling in all their frosty, fair glory. "Ready Freddie? Ehe~"

The woman with the shadowed black hair just smirked. " children need to learn
there place, you no different in this case lady Mao" reading the book aloud she
spoke in an ancient language that was only understood by the arcane mind of the
magical beings. The next moment the air heated around her opponent. balls of
energy formed in a flaming burst around her and she drew her staff in a quick
moment pointing it directly at her the orb at the end began to glow with a
orangish glow before firing a few fireballs directly at her opponent " come
witch face the heat!" she shouted flipping through her book again to be ready
for the next move.

So much irony in the words the woman let escape her lips, it filled Mao with a euphoric amusement so substantial; the throbbing of her veins practically pulsed to the rhythm of her laughter. "A pretty silly thing to say, coming from a lady in a witches hat, eh?" The one thing Mao enjoyed about the magic of mages was the fact that it was relatively easy to guess early on what each attack will host; the orange hue of the staff's orb was a pretty decent hint of which elemental she chose as her first attack. "Risky, risky~" The digits dancing along her sides lifted and tapped through the air as if playing invisible piano keys, moving to that silent beat within her head. Silver ruins, no more visible than wisps of smoke, produced themselves within the air, extending out forward, creating a frame-like figure for the balls of fire to pour into. Once they closed the distance, it was as easy as pulling her fingers apart, outwards; spreading, until the oxygen within that area of the fire's range was pulled away in ribbons. As quickly as those spheres had been created, they seemed to vanish, leaving time for the next ruins to be produced from her fingertips.

Violet in their tint, the peculiar symbols danced from the digits, threading themselves outward, toward the frivolous mage; her power was based solely on the thin, vulnerable pages within her fingertips, and given the fact that her hands were occupied with her instruments, her spells could work about as fast as her lips could move and her eyes could see at this point; this left her open in a way that thrilled Mao substantially. The stages needed to clear this battle were simple; force her to lose focus on the book, and set the pages ablaze with the very flames she told the Tuzi Witch to burn with. The violet ruins cast out quickly after her fire was dispersed darted from all sides of the mage, a spiraling wind affect cast around in hopes of causing chaos in the form of ever-tossing and turning pages. As this attack was from above, a new attack was sent from below, crimson ribbons of symbols drawn up by the tapping fingertips that lifted from below the book itself, aimed directly toward those delicate paper pages. At this rate, Mao figured she'd only have time to divert one of the attacks before the other consumed her.

The woman could hardly believe the reaction speed of her opponent, however she
had only accounted for the rushing fire balls that had been sent to her. as she
tried to place her staff behind her again and read the next page to her multi
cast spell. To her great dismay as she attempted to read wind had picked up
around her the heat being cooled a few notches by a sharp wind that put her
pages a flutter. " damn you!" she stumbled to attempt to get her page she needed
but it was mostly folly as she focused so hard upon finding the page she stepped
back attempting to avoid the wind. but she was a tad late as part of her book
had caught on fire she shook it off with a few pages burnt " you bitch!!!" she
shouted as she attempted to grab her staff and begin waving it in the air it
glowed a orange color once more then a dark red as a symbol formed in the room
atop the ceiling and rushing meteor like stone covered in fire rained directly
around her opponent, her anger was getting the best of her but as she lower the
staff you could tell she was tiring.

The Economic City of Vatus Empty During the battle and before hand

Post  Chloe Naldice Lumar Wed Aug 31, 2011 9:51 pm

She sat still slowly stopping her tears till she felt a soft poke at her side and his voice speaking to her. She brushed her cheeks off to make sure the tears were gone before she leaned her head up and moved her wings to wrap just around her core. She smiled softly at him, putting away the image of her father. She wanted to talk to someone about it, but there was far to much to be done to talk about something she hardly knew about, she had more questions then answers. "Good morning Kayis, I hope you slept alright." she said in her sweet gentle voice. Her ribbons slid there way through her feathers to wrap around her tight in a hugging fashion, comforting her. She wandered what caused him to wake so early, why they were here, what was her father doing in her dreams, why was he showing up now? So many things on her mind, though it didn't show one bit. Standing to her feet she turned her back to him as she stretched out her wings and arms as far as they cold go till she was satisfied and brought her arms back down to their natural position and her wings back around her since she was still in the nude.

She looked at the door as a small voice came through the cracks of the wood. She smiled hearing it was their clothes and waited patiently for Kayis to bring over her clothes. Sliding the underwear on, she opened up her wings to get dressed easier. After that she slide on her dress she smiled running her hand over the clothing feeling like a teenage girl who just went shopping. It was nice to wear something other than her silk gown. She ran her fingers through her hair to calm it down. Once done she turned to her companion who had just finished getting ready. Taking his hand in hers, she followed him down the halls till they returned to the doors they once went through to find their room. She was nervous for the both of them on what they would find out today, but she was also excited for him.

Once the doors were opened her eyes locked onto what seemed to be a fight between two creatures. She watched, feeling no harm since it seemed this was for entertainment and not a scare she smiled softly. Once the fight was over she cringed slightly at what pain he must be feeling after that blow. Once someone began to speak to Kayis she lightly bowed her head in respect of them both and stepped to the side, letting his hand go. She watched silently as they talked and as two women had entered. She smiled at the fact that they were women and it seemed that they were going to fight. It wasn't like most people to have two women fight, though she did enjoy watching, proud that women actually showed their power and strength they could hold.
